Royals and Racers
Hound Nope on bench. Semedo and Esteves in as well. Happy with the team

I see !! Reading FC have Puscas playing and on bench :D

Is that allowed?

Interesting decision to drop Joao. Hasn’t been great two games, seems like Pauno wants to rest him which we will need to do. Good boost of confidence for Puscas that he can finally get his chance again.

I don’t think either Joao or Olise are dropped. Just rested as we have some many games in this three week window. Not sure why Holmes isn’t in the squad though. That seems very harsh.

Agree with all three points
I'm guessing Joao is being rested - at times he looked very lethargic in the last game.
Holmes has done really well. He also wasn't as good last time out but not in the squad is indeed harsh
Not playing Olise is the biggest shock - I think he has been outstanding and looked a threat every time he has had the ball. Must surely be a case of being rested in his case.

I reckon both Joao and Olise will start on Tuesday night. I hope Holmes return to the squad too.

That's some unexpected changes. I assume aiming to keep things fresh. Can see an argument for not worth risking Joao and he didn't have a great game against Wycombe. Plus Olise has played a lot. Esteves makes sense obviously. Interesting.

Interesting to drop Joao. Could be a masterclass though.

RIno is already bossing this game. That's exactly what I want to see from him. Hes got the strength and pace to just go straight past people and if he fails he usually wins the freekick.

Esteves worries me at the back. Every time I see the back line he’s not even in picture. I know he’s an attacking full back but I hope we don’t miss Holmes’ defensive ability - and his height too, wins a lot of headers to clear and can’t imagine Esteves will be doing the same.

Esteves is only the third reading player to wear number 2 in the last 10 years taking it from Chris Gunter. No googling, who is the third man?

Know what you mean
Just found himself totally out of position as the ball sailed over him

Gives us an advantage going forward though and we do look livelier than last game

Another game where the opposition have started brighter and on the front foot. It’s going to cost us at some point.
