From Despair To Where? I think pretty much every club would struggle with their first 3 strikers out. Norwich gave been dealing with precisely that issue in the past couple of weeks.s

But they are top which implies that despite those injuries they have decent players to come in.

My observation was that OUR squad is a bit thin and am not arguing with Ian about whether it has been in the past-that is a different issue.

My view is that if the owners do want promotion we really do need 2 or 3 more in the window.
.

Norwich dropped 5 points in the 3 games they played with their forwards out injured (against Coventry, Luton and Sheffield Wed) which is more than they dropped in their preceding 9 matches (6 of which were against teams in the Top 10)

There you go then , teams wanting to get promoted need strong squads.

My point is, everyone's in the same position. Do you think everyone in the top 10 is going to go out and sign 3 new players in the window?

I think most clubs will struggle with injuries, with less revenue floating about and a condensed season meaning 2 games a week.

Its so tight at the top, I think most clubs will hedge their bets.

It would be a struggle to name many clubs who play with one striker who have more than three senior strikers plus another forward who can fill in there. It’s not a small squad.

Bet other clubs have three senior strikers that fit the clubs style of play though.

Yeah, they'll be the clubs that don't sack their manager every 6 months.

VP says new year for Meite and Joao. Joao likely to be back first of the two.

Assume we’ll have a recall option on Sam Smith for 1 Jan. going to need some extra cover unless there’s some transfers lined up for the start of the window

Judging by our record, we'll put it off only to have to do it in four weeks rather than now.

Sure Kia is already on the case. No chance Smith will be coming back

Loan move for Shane Long might be worth investigating.

I thought VP said that Joao wouldn't be back 'before the end of this year' (hate to say it but 3-4 weeks takes us to second week in Jan, given today's date). Meite out for 'more than 4 weeks'

Give those answers I don't understand why Dellor didn't ask for latest on Puscas.

Who are Man City’s three strikers who fit their style of play? What about Spurs? Bayern Munich? Real Madrid?

Long term injury.

At least Swift is on the road to recovery and is back training. .
