They want to replace him with Jose Morais apparently, who has a very similar CV to Jose Gomes.

Shambles of a club.

Be nigh on impossible for anyone to do well there when players aren't getting paid at all or not in full.

May be putting 2 and 2 together and not getting 4 but Pulis has previous at Gillingham and Bristol City for disciplinary breaches. Wouldnt surprise me if he said something the owners didn't like like a home truth or two.

Dejphon Chansiri, Sheffield Wednesday chairman The performances and results have not been of the level expected since Tony Pulis was appointed. There are also other issues which have had a bearing on this decision.

8 managerial jobs over 10 years. Only lasted more than a season at 1 club. Lasted 3 months at Barnsley.

49% win percentage but that's heavily weighted by a 60% win ratio in Korea where he managed for 85 of his 179 games and he did manage the most successful club in Korea. A successful half season in Tunisia and a successful 3 months in Saudi Arabia but everywhere else he's been a bit shit. Did spent 6 years as Mourinho's assistant at 3 different clubs.

Nothing to suggest he's the man for a club in crisis but he may manage a Gomes style dead cat bounce. Given his and Chansiri's track record though, I suspect he'll be sacked by Easter.

I’m not a Bowen fan but he did all right here

Part of me thinks he’d be mental to go to that basket case of a club given their track record and given how he helped turn us around, he may be expecting something a bit better

But then another part of me still thinks he’ll struggle to get too many offers, especially at Champ level

I think he'd be far better off waiting for a while or stepping down to a club in good order than going to Wednesday and being out of a job in 3 to 9 months and potentially having a relegation on his CV

Go there and I think he won't get any decent chances, this level or lower, again.

Disagree, think it’s a no lose situation. Basket case of a club that everyone now thinks will go down. If he takes the job he’s still relevant not disappearing into obscurity, keep them up and be hailed a hero, take them down? Meh it was to be expected anyway and shouldn’t black mark his CV too much.
