It would make a huge difference having them back.

Luton fans seem to think our awful pitch is to blame for all our recent injuries. any possible truth?

It hasn’t been too bad this season but does seem to be deteriorating. It looked a mess today.

This is the first time I feel it's looked awful, but could be something in it. How many of our injuries have come in home games? João and Meite definitely. What about the others?

Meite’s injury had nothing to do with the pitch.

Isn’t our pitch only bad because after our last match the ground staff did an experiment?

Most of our injuries seem to be picked up in training anyway.

What was the experiment? Which weed killer works the best?

Just loads of games on it in a short space of time at a bad time of the year for it

3 weeks? until the next home game now - should give plenty of opportunity to sort it out

Richards injury came in the away game at QPR.

On the pitch, I don’t think it’s just ours which is in poor state, a lot of other championship pitches also seem to be a bit patchy. I don’t think the quick turnaround between seasons and the compacted season has helped at all.

No, it’s the women causing the problems now. They can’t kick the ball very high so it spends more time rolling on the pitch and flattening what’s left of the grass

Actually the club were wanting to renovate the pitch in the summer to improve drainage etc. but the shortened close season meant that couldn’t be achieved so the pitch isn’t so good this season.

It gets better, Michael Olise has a hamstring problem. That is to say he complained of it feeling “tight” after the Brentford game therefore, though he could have played, he wasn’t started against Luton. Depending how it progresses he may well again be a substitute on Wednesday.

Please someone in the media ask VP - why so many hamstring problems?
