Presumably Premiership clubs looking for a goal scorer will simply submit written bids to Brentford knowing they’ll sell without even thinking about it.

Hound Reading through the list of premier clubs and their reports for the first half of the season in the paper yesterday, did strike me how many were looking for ' a forward who can hold the ball up and score goals'

Be very surprised if a number of clubs weren't looking at Joao - the likes of Fulham, Brighton etc.

I reckon WBA might come knocking for Joao .

Wolves need a goal scorer and apparantly all their contracts are written in Portuguese..

Speculation that Diego Costa is their target to replace Jiminez while he recovers. I think Wolves will look at more established players than Joao.

I had visions of us drafting in Costa as back up for Joao !

I think Joao's injury record is enough to put any suitors off.

Swift has been on the radar of clubs for some time (every club is aware of those coming through at Chelsea that is why Olise will be no surprise to the bigger clubs either) and the Sheff Utd rumour doesn't go away.
His injury that went on for quite a long time will hopefully work in our favour and clubs won't take a chance on him at this stage.

If Olise has a release clause, we'll lose him and won't sell anybody else.

If he doesn't have a release clause we won't sell anybody.

It really is that simple with us being in a promotion bid and backed by the ambition of our owners.

Swap deal for Alaba and I’m game. As long as Bayern cover all wages, for both players

SCIAG Suspect there will be paper talk about Holmes and McIntyre too. Young, not long left on their contracts, impressive performances.

So basically the whole squad...

Anyone mentioned Aluko ?
He’s actually looking much more like the sort of player we thought we had originally !

Distinctly average rather than utter horseshit?

Some Derby County pundit has suggested their new owners should go all out to sign Joao in January, because they're such a big club he'll be happy to leave a promotion push for a relegation battle.

Some pundit? Thst was Eric Steele, the England goalkeeping coach.

One website has described his suggestion as "somewhat unrealistic"

Maybe he’s still upset they wasted circa four million of transfer fees on Blackman and Evans from us (excluding wages too)

And we thought our transfer strategy was poor

A few snippets from Twitter:

Sebastien Haller joins Ajax from West Ham on a permanent deal for €25m.
If rumours are true, think West Ham are lining up a bid for Lucas Joao.

Swansea City lead Middlesbrough & Reading in the race to sign Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis.

Wolves have recalled Morgan Gibbs-White from his loan at Swansea.
(Not sure how this will affect them)

I don't think MG-W has played for Swansea because of an injury?
