Been very good in div2 this year from the look of it. 21 years old, might be an interesting one

Scores great goals rather than ordinary ones.

Smashed in a great one for Swindon the other day if it’s the goal I’m thinking of

The chatter on Twitter says that as he has already played for two different teams this season (Swindon and Newport) he won't be able to play for a third, so a signing very much for next season.

Edit - JLow however says:

he would be, as you can play for three clubs this season (normally two). FIFA made the changes because of Covid impact

If true, let's hope we can tie this deal down pretty quickly.

Or
Let's hope that his parent club doesn't string us along.
Or
If there is a deal hopefully there will be no strings attached.

Yep, and he has done the same for Newport.

Mate of mine who saw him play thought he was a bit ropey.

Doesn’t seem realistic. Reckon someone is spinning a yarn.

I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been more noise about some of our players tbh

Joao, though obvs a bit injury prone, has incredible stats this season, and just watching him - he is too good for the division. Good age, plenty in the tank and knows the country etc. If Olise does have any sort of clause then be incredible if someone isn't thinking 8-10m is very good value. Ejaria has the lot - speed, height, skills, decent defensive ability - he is top 5 on whoscored despite not looking at his best at times, and you'd think a Prem coach would think they could get to him to an even better level. Wonder what he'd be rated at now

The injuries to Swift, Moore and Meite have probably stopped any chance of a move for them this window

The likes of Rino and Laurent would be relatively cheap players who could possibly do a job a division up.

On Joao he has been in English football for quite some time now and I suspect that he is perceived as an injury-prone, in and out player currently going through a purple patch so a risky proposition (I'm pleased to say).

I love Ejaria but again he will be well known in football from his Liverpool/Rangers days and might be seen as a bit too complicated player to fit into a system just as at the higher level Pogba is perceived by many.

Olise is well known from his Chelsea and Man City days and I would guess he might earlier have been seen as lightweight physically but Premier clubs could be encouraged by seeing how Benrahma and Eze have stepped up from the Championship and he is receiving plenty of publicity of late so , assuming the £8 million is untrue, could go for around £15-£20 million if the other two are anything to go by (I think Eze went for about £17 million and Benrahma for about £20 million).

Meite looks cumbersome but has a good goalscoring record so is certainly being monitored.

Swift again falls into the category of well-known from his Chelsea background and may now be seen as a bit injury-prone but with good players around him could make it at Premier level, in the same way as Norwood did last season (if not this!!).

Moore, a very good Championship player but a bit short (ability and size) perhaps for Premier League clubs.

Richards, something looks to be happening already unfortunately.

Rino and Laurent-both good Championship players but might not appeal to Premier League clubs who tend to want goal-scoring midfielders or strong tacklers and neither IMHO fit either of those bills.

All-in-all hopefully we will keep nearly all of them at least until we know our end-of-season destiny.

SUspect other clubs know we won’t sell, and certainly the likes of RIno or Laurent would not be cheap...It would take significantly over market value offers for the owners to break up this side voluntarily.
I suspect the players are also happy here right now so haven’t got their agents out drumming up interest.

VP confirmed the club have made enquiries after a couple of PL players but have been told to “wait” so something may still happen there before 11pm on 1st February.

Maybe teams know there's no chance of signing Joao this window given our league position. Expect the vultures to circle in the summer if we don't go up.
