NATS
Eastbourne Borough 4-2 Billericay Town
St Albans City 1-1 Hemel Hempstead Town
Welling United 4-3 Ebbsfleet United - only the 2nd win of the season for 'Wings' but not enough to haul themselves off the bottom and above Slough - though they draw level with the Rebels on points.
Difficult to see this division going on for much longer - for example Slough still have 28 games to play. Even if they agreed to start next week and played only twice a week (I'm sure any more fixtures would cause burn-out for part-timers even if they extended their squad) - that would probably take them well into June?
I presume the NL must have something in its constitution as it’s ridiculous that member clubs were given 28 days to vote on the resolutions to end the season. Should have been 1 week at most so now we have sides refusing to play because if the circumstances while others are carrying on and consequently there are teams like Slough who are going to be playing 3/4 games some weeks to make up the gap.
Personally think all non leagues should be declared null and void this season, I suspect though that the NLN and NLS will go down that route while the NL completes. Incidentally I presume step 3 and below have already declared their seasons null and void, though I haven’t seen anything official yet?
Elsewhere, Darlington are facing charges from the NL for failing to fulfil their home game v Boston and York lost 3-1 to Fylde in their first game at their brand new home ground (the 8000 seater LNER Community Stadium).
