WoodleyRoyal Very much second season syndrome. They caught people out with the high wing back last season. This time round they’ve been found out. Wilder is a bang average manager whose team had been riding in a crest of a wave. He won’t have success like this again his career. Expect him to take them down be sacked by the end of the season and we shall hear little of him again.

Chris wilder has just left Sheffield United by mutual consent as he does not want to work with a football director

The loss of Henderson in goal was also massive for them this season.
Still think they're better than their points total, the number of late 1-0s seems harsh.

Madness to get rid of Wilder as he'd have got them up again. Look at Burnley & Norwich

Well done on predicting they'd struggle. But I wouldn't get too cocky, his career isn't over yet and by most accounts he wasn't sacked.

In his last 63 games managing in English football, his sides have scored just 45 goals, woeful record

Judging by Arsenal Spurs game, Maureen. Spurs have been utter gash, he has taken off the threats and gone 2-1 down. Appalling management.

So using that logic, Arteta could’ve been sacked 3 or 4 times already this season?

He does do radio adverts that say winning on Paddy Power is nothing special and quite easy....

Pretty much yes. His management isn't much better. Complete control of the game with an extra man and he goes defensive and takes off his best players today. Nearly cost them as well. They were in complete control. He is no better, though i like the fact he put that arrogant knob Aubamayang in his place.

What threats may that be? N’Dombele was awful, Son was injured and Bale wasn’t involved in the game

Possibly a victim of tactics you could argue but Lucas and Lamela kept themselves fairly busy throughout and Doherty was being badly exposed throughout with ESR and Tierney a constant threat down the left side

Given Spurs improved after making the subs, perhaps they were the right call?

It’s a reasonable shout - made circa 80 appearances for them as a player

Bowen to Charlton then

How many experienced managers have never been sacked? Can only think of Fergie. Would guess at the '70/80s Liverpool lads as well

Had this exact conversation with my dog-walking mate and we were really struggling.

Bill Nicholson ?
Pep Guardiola - so far, at least

Bob Paisley and possibly Bill Shankly from the 70's & 80's Liverpool
I think Roy Evans was 'relieved of his duties'
