I'm sorry but that is absolutely disgraceful. It's time for Kelly Chambers and her coaching team to go.

Kelly Chambers can't survive this, it's been a terrible season.

Can't spot Phil Cousins on the touchline, nor can I hear him. Maybe that's one of the reasons today. Jess Fishlock appeared to suggest that he was the main coach.

Nope - just seen him!

This is a oxf*rd joke this is not Chelsea but third from bottom West Ham. I’ve been saying right from the start that Chamber’s has had her day. She has to go.

Too damn complacent and too big for their boots. Seem to think they just have to show up to get three points against the bottom team.

Have now lost to the following teams when they were bottom:

Birmingham
Bristol City
West Ham

also only drew with Bristol City and Villa when they were bottom.

Absolutely dismal up front, now also appalling at back.

Sign new players then never play them!

Who is responsible for hiring and sacking at a coaching level?

The owners they have pumped a lot of money into the ladies team including the academy. I didn’t bother with going to Wycombe but was considering going to the match start for home games sadly Covid but that wouldn’t be possible. With performances like today and indeed and all the home games this season I wouldn’t have bothered anyway.

As far as I can see there has still been no interview with or comments from Kelly Chambers regarding the appalling performance and result against West Ham.

Does she not think that the supporters deserve to hear something from her about that game?

Can't see her getting away with saying nothing next season when the new Sky Sports & BBC contracts kick in. I suspect there will be contractual commitments on the clubs to field someone from the coaching staff for a post match interview at every game, in the same manner as is required in the men's game. And rightly so.

Fara Williams was a pundit on The Women's Football Show at the weekend. Interestingly she made reference to a little regret at possibly leaving Arsenal too early. On several occasions she also referred to 'Reading' instead of 'we'. Previously she's talked about how please she was to have joined Reading when she did and how much she enjoyed the coaching etc. at our club. Have things soured a little?

Interview with Grace Moloney in The42 - mostly about representing Ireland, but Reading gets a few mentions. Including last week's "worst game of the season"

Interesting interview thanks, particularly the bit about signing other keepers like Erin Nayler to keep her on her toes.

As regards post West Ham comments/interviews with Kelly Chambers, I see something has finally appeared on the OS.

To be fair to Ben Waite @etiawneb I see he did manage to get a few words from Kelly and tweeted them after the game,

"We're gutted, we're disappointed. We need to show pride, today didn't show that."

"The biggest thing is to apologise to the fans."

"It's very different having a 24,000 seat stadium with no fans."

"We need to build and adapt to our new surroundings."

"Squad depth is a worry at this time of the season. Molly Bartrip was suspended, Emma Mitchell is injured, Bruton is out for the season. Brooke Chaplen is training but needs time. Jeon is trying to adapt with the language barrier and a long time out"

In the OS interview Kelly refers to the team's motivation and telling them they should be trying to finish as high as possible.

It really bugs and worries me when teams/players aren't just strongly motivated to win, regardless of circumstances. The team is going nowhere until the squad is full of characters who are absolutely determined to win on every occasion.

Women`s FA cup action this Sunday as the Royals are home to Tottenham in the 4th round KO 2pm at the Madejski stadium. Whether we can watch the match on a stream is not yet known.

Really poor from Reading that no information yet put out about whether we will be able to watch the match tomorrow live. Lot of the home clubs(especially the WSL teams) are streaming the matches.

What about the over 2000 that turned up at the Madejski stadium to watch the game against West Ham in 2019. :D
