This is quite incredible how quickly some have caved, I’ve never seen anything cause such an outrage on social media to this scale. I hope anyone that withdraws still get punished for their outrageous greed because they absolutely do not deserve to act like nothing happened, which unfortunately won’t happen.

Because he wanted it or because he didn't ?

Or possibly because it's an opportunity to get out without admitting he was shit at his (current) job

This is like robbing a bank then afterwards saying you are sorry, it will take a while before they are forgiven. or forgotten.

Spurs can be in a super league of their own. They might win it, but then again maybe not.

Surely they knew the outrage it would cause? Or are they that detached from reality and incompetent that they didn't foresee the backlash?

To be fair, it's like PLANNING to rob a bank, getting just inside the door, realising that everyone knows who you are and you're going to get nicked, THEN afterwards saying you are sorry

They hadn't actually taken any money (but don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting them at all, just that we can only work with some Rafa Benitez's - i.e. facts)
Although if the announcement was to test the water they may have found it to be significantly higher than boiling point

According to talk sport, of course they knew.

Whatever the analogy, this can't just be forgotten about; there must be consequences. Firstly, it seems the English teams have broken a law codified by the Premier League by signing up to it.

Then the government have announced a review which will doubtless be highly effective and result in radical measures to give clubs back to the fans.

Well then why pull out in response to backlash?

I hope fans continue to feel pissed off and boycott these teams

Lower league teams deserve support. I hope the fa and fifa punish these teams and remortgage them from competitions still

Man City need to be stripped of the league if they win and all teams banned from Europe for 5 years.
