Who was that ordinary looking opponent who was lying on the floor
part-injured and he put his face forward to deliberately block a shot

Was the team Barnsley? Pure guts.

And anyway the bravery award goes to Jimmy Kebe for Sock-Gate

Snowball By "hard" are you guys talking "tough", "can take the knocks", brave etc

or do you mean dirty player, lots of deliberate hurting of opponents? (eg Mings)?

I think Noel Hunt and Shane Long were very gutsy and knocked seven
shades out of CB partnerships over 90 minutes. Noel was brave to the
point of stupid. Felt like he was knocked out every other game.

Contrast those two with Meite who may be big but is hardly
a hurt-machine.

Or contrast them with Church who always looked and played "scared" to my eyes.

Griffin

Andre Bikey - red carded in a trial match and/or friendly for us for headbutting an opposition player, his head wasn't always right.

Danny Bailey versus Robin Friday. Jeez...you wouldn't get good odds on that.

As someone said earlier (Pepe ?), Robin was REALLY hard and REALLY tough.

So in my mind we have had two really really tough/hard players...Friday and Hurlock.

Bikey wasn't 'hard', just a 'nutter' (ahem)
Always sort of liked him though, and wished he'd been better than he was...

It was a Swedish part-timer who I think was a publican in real life. We signed Bikey anyway.
