tmesisAthleticoSpizz Worse than a Steve Death v Steve Francis (remember him?) comparison?
Wasn't Steve Death meant to be a really great player, but just really short for a goalkeeper? 5'8" or something like that. A bit like Jimmy Quinn being very talented, but also incredibly slow, which limited him as a player more than his skill did.

He was 5'6", 5'7" max. That's really short for a keeper even back then. And yes, he was a really great player, regardless of how good the rest of your defence might be, you don't go 1,103 minutes without conceding a goal unless you are a really great keeper!

Yep tiny by any goalkeeping standards. I didn’t see him play live but gather he was very agile. Passed away very young sadly.

Yes, his agility was his greatest strength. Also, he had a sort of way of enveloping the ball when a low shot came in, it just seemed to hit him like he had some sort of magnetic force.

Sadly several months is very optimistic. This appears to be a very serious knee injury. Let’s hope he fully recovers to play for us again but I don’t think we will see him next season. An awful start to pre season.
