windermereROYALblythspartan I like Pauno and he’s been dealt a poor hand but we need a manager like Warnock right now. Someone who can organise the defence and mould a team out of what we have. I don’t believe that Pauno is capable of this. Take away the start to last season and his record isn’t good.
Jimmy Floyd could possibly be the answer but not sure if anyone would want to come here right now. I just want to go to a game and see some hope for the future but right now it’s a fcuking shambles.
Why take away the irst 8 games of last season, why not take away the last 8?
Because a) the start stood in stark contrast to the rest of the season, which was generally shit so either you take out the first 8 or the last 38 and b) honeymoon performances are a well documented well known phenomenon whereas toward the end you really do get a good idea of what a manager is like as he's had a whole season more to instill his ideas/learn the league/squad etc. The last few games are likely to be far more representative of manager skill than the first few.
