I don’t think any of the managers have done terribly. Just seems to be this cycle of showing some promise, building something useful, but then seemingly getting completely lost and finding themselves out of their depth

Clement was possibly the only one who never really made us play well, but was arguably slowly improving things

Do feel that Bowen was unfortunate mind you. Felt at the time his sacking was wrong and seen little to make me change my mind. As said elsewhere I’d happily take him back now

We just need someone who can steady the ship get us organised at the back and bring some sort of identity to the way we play. There has to be someone out there. Steve bould for instance has been let go by arsenal who has run their u23’s for years. I’m not necessarily suggesting him but it’s just an example of someone out of work that has good defensive pedigree. John Terry’s name has been thrown around but has oxf*rd all experience Steve bould has bags of it. Duncan Ferguson was the fan’s favourite at Everton when ancelloti left, he would probably take a champ job. Pardew is out of work, as is Neil Lennon. I’m sure we can find someone who could turn this shambles around.

Reputedly we will be signing two further players.That makes six;so some of last season’s established picks should start looking over their shoulder and up their game.A number of players yesterday stunk the place out,with their performance levels and should be ashamed.Bit angry really.
A new manager usually results in dead cat bounce,and if it means Pulis coming in for a couple of seasons so be it.Desperate times call for desperate measures.Is the tippy tappy football then lose it, we have tried to play under Stam/Gomes/Pauno really any better than hoofball ?
We may have to rely on Joao coming back in the New Year,and us putting in a strong end of season run of results.This league is so full of crap teams,we will still be in touch and be able to get out of the mire.However mental fortitude has not been one of our attributes for several seasons and losing does becomes a habit.

I am not one for sacking managers willy nilly, but things have to change. Yesterday was embarrassing, the defence was nowhere to be seen. Upfront Puscas was just isolated, he can only hold the ball for so long.

Out seeming absolute inability to pass to a team mate 5 yards away kept gifting them position. The only positive for me is that there were a couple of occasions where we got into a shooting position and actually took a shot, albeit wide. Last week at Coventry we didnt even do that.

The thing is, our problems are looking more and more coaching related and that falls squarely on the manager. Did Pauno bring in his own fitness/conditioning team as well? Because that's also a massive issue.

However I don't think it's quite the right time to change manager. I'm sticking with what I said last week - give him a few more games and obviously the chance to utilise the new signings.

Any more performances like yesterday though, and I think he's probably doomed. Yesterday felt a bit like Rodger's 4-1 defeat at QPR or Clement's 4-0 defeat at home to Ipswich.
