Nine consecutive away games now in which Liverpool have scored at least three goals, as they won 3-0 at Burnley in their final away game last season. No idea if it is a record, but has to be, surely?
Salah's hat-trick the first by an opposition player at Old Trafford since (original) Ronaldo in 2003.

6ft Kerplunk I'd not seen a full Man United match this season until yesterday. Is that a normal Ronaldo performance these days? Other than the disallowed goal and kicking the ball into Jones he was pretty anonymous. Certainly not worth ripping up the season's plans at the last minute to get him in. Sancho must be wondering what on earth he's done but at least he's got van de Beek to discuss it with on the bench.

Before collapsing in his third season and reverting to square one again
Like I’ve said before, Ole isn’t a winner like Mourinho so you pointing to trophies has no bearing on the conversation. In terms of league positions only, the progression is clear and evident. They finished 2nd with a midfield duo of Fred and McTominay, a duo most have stated aren’t even in the top 10 best in the league
They now have a much stronger squad so should kindly move Ole on but the flak he has gotten is unwarranted
Unless you’re being deliberately obtuse, there really isn’t anything in there which is hard to understand
Genuinely don't think you have a clue what you're talking about on this one, nothing personal.
I look a bit silly now

Nah not at all, it's not like they have been losing 5-0 every week. Even the comeback against Atalanta was encouraging last Wednesday.
Think Carragher was spot on, United aren't a team. They have great players but they are not a strong unit. Liverpool have a pretty small squad but they are all close and you can tell they are all mates who will run through brick walls for eachother. United were a complete embarrassment yesterday and should be ashamed.

South Coast Royal BTW Martin Tyler was almost in tears towards the end of the commentary-he really is such a Man Utd fan.

Tyler kind of mentioned it in passing but how delightful if United's desire to just not let the beloved CR7 play across the Citeh has totally ruined their season and scuppered all of Ole's plans

Royal Rother <--- Agreed. (He's actually a Man City supporter, as clearly evidenced by how excited he got when City "stole" the PL title from Utd with their remarkable late comeback win v QPR.)Silver Fox6ft Kerplunk I'd not seen a full Man United match this season until yesterday. I said at the time that Ronaldo would undoubtedly score goals but would have an overall negative effect on the team.
Similar to Mourinho.
Short-sighted short-term gains are absolutely not the way they are going to catch up on their superior rivals, long-term.
It felt odd yesterday supporting Liverpool, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sanguine Slightly bizarre sight yesterday, as United struggled to create anything up front, and Pogba got himself sent off trying to be the central midfielder that he isn't, of Lingard, Van De Beek and Sancho sat shivering on the bench.

NathStPaul He isn't, it's a complete myth. Manchester United are historically successful so therefore his voice is associated with their era of dominance. That is then conflated as him being a supporter of them, he just isn't.

You can tell by the emotion in his voice over the years and how he tends to look at games from a Man Utd perspective.
It's an observation made over many years-disagree if you like but I remain convinced (or deluded Liverpool bias if you prefer).

He's a commentator, its his job to be excited. It just so happens a lot of exciting moments have happened involving Manchester United down the years that he has commentated on. His voice is associated to their success and therefore can be construed as being supportive of them.
His commentary on the Aguero goal and a last minute Sunderland goal scored by Ji are just two examples of him getting very excited about other sides.
