Royals and Racers
paultheroyal If all coaching staff are out its Dann and Moore taking the team.

Did anyone else notice that Morrison was helping out the coaching staff on the pitch prior to the game- wearing his knee brace

Fair play as doubt he will play again, could be a very decent coach.

Not your usual optimism Stranded.
Morrison implied when working on the Bournemouth game for TV that the brace would be coming off soon and he hoped to be fit not too long after that (which at Reading might be anything from 2 weeks to 2 years).

Somebody posted earlier about so little info coming out of the club on the progress of injured players-at most clubs fans are fed some info even if not a full medical report but unfortunately it is IMHO another example of the disconnect between our club and the fans.

I couldn't even tell you what injuries most of the players seem to have. I remember Sky flashed something on screen for the Bournemouth game. Seem to remember a few hamstrings in that lot. Anyone know what Rino's injury is? IS Joao hip or shoulder now?

Should the club be making announcements about the health of their employees? I think the club are doing things the right way. and does no way illustrate any disconnect.

So the fact that other clubs do is meaningless to you?

hmmm, you frame it like it's a question of privacy and data protection.

All we want to know is when it is hoped/expected they can get back to work.

XXX should be back after the international break or even it looks like a long-term injury would do.

Perhaps it's a deliberate ploy. If the club keeps it quiet, the first the opposition know who is fit is when they appear on the team sheet., it gives them less time to alter their approach to the game. Pauno did hint at this at one of his pre-match interviews on Radio Berkshire recently

Exactly that. The obsession of wanting to know the in's and out's of everything is somewhat peculiar on here at times.

Why give your secrets and hand away. Just enjoy the boost when Joao is named on the bench for a game in January etc etc - they will be fit and able when they are ready....

That's not what Vic was asking for, and details of an injury would almost certainly count as personal sensitive information under GDPR

Rumours starting to circulate on Twitter that Clarke was injured in the U23 game on Monday:

Appears to originate from one random post:

Just a shame to see @JahmariClarke9 leaving on crutches with a boot on his ankle after playing 45 mins in the U23’s game on Monday night.

Not sure how true it is as JLow says "Haven't heard that, no"

Surely not. He should not have been involved anyway.

While Joao was out with his hip injury the club took the opportunity to operate on his shoulder to try and fix that issue too. Don’t know a timeframe on recovery

Weirdly I was just thinking last night that they should have done that. Interesting if it adds more time to the recovery

I have heard that he has a broken ankle (I was told this on Tuesday) but didn't believe it....plus it came from my son which isn't the most reliable source (he heard from friend who knows some academy players).
