Pepe the Horseman
Franconian Royal Senior and I have been saying how shot his confidence must be watching a 17 year old get the service and score goals that he could score as well, if someone would actually trust him.

It's like when the ball comes to him, the players, 'alright lad, let's be having you, try get this one under control', even if it is at head height or a ball which is fizzed into his feet. I'd love him to come good, really would. As a few have said, Porno ain't the guy to put his arm around him and say 'we'll help you by putting Clarke up top with you'. It's more a case of 'oh, so you did jack sh*t again, so let's Jahmari on and show you how to play'.

As for the trolls on here and social media, hang your heads in shame. You know who you are. Go do one. If you were to go abroad for the first time at a young age and people gave you a hard time, how would you feel? Honestly, grow up. I don't usually post up on here, because I don't want to get entangled in the trolls' web, but it's time for all cr*tin trolls to get behind the lad. Support Puscas. For all we know, the fella might read the stuff on here. GROW UP

Not sure Clarke really "got the service" that Puscas hasn't been getting. The first goal possibly, but I'm not convinced Puscas would have even got to it, let alone scored it, and the second one was following in his own shot, after a rebound from someone else's shot.

I didn’t watch the game, unfortunately, but the first goal looked well worked and I believe Georgie would have made an effort to get it. The second looked like a scrappy finish, which even a blind man would score

windermereROYAL I`ve just seen the following post on facebook, I`m not sure what relevance it holds but he doesn`t seem happy if true. surely he can`t go anywhere now the window is closed?

Like to know what happened with Puscas, saw him with a cardboard box of possessions and when I asked if he was ok he said NO, I can`t talk sorry, He looked like he was leaving for good

And somebody replied with this.

I saw him carrying a box of stuff and avoiding the fans which isn`t like any of them, Thought it was weird

Maybe he`s had a showdown for losing in his place when he`s the only experienced striker in the squad.

Hope so. He has to be the biggest waste of money on record now? His wages and transfer fee far surpass Aluko.

No, the service isn’t great but at some point, you do have to look beyond that and besides he’s still missed a fair few chances that he really should have been converting, QPR, Blackpool and Bournemouth spring to mind

He’s shown glimpses but I just don’t think he’s reactive enough. I doubt he’d have followed up his own shot in the same manner Clarke did. Too passive at times

Agreed that the criticism is over the top at times but that’s the nature of football nowadays, particularly players bought for a bigger fee

He`s on less than Aluko was getting Aluko 6 goals in 106 games over 4 full seasons, Puscas 18 goals in 79 games over 2 and a bit seasons, but don`t let the facts get in the way of a good rant.

Have to say Sone Aluko is probably the club’s biggest waste of money ever (that is presuming all of the reported £7.5 million fee was paid and not just a total figure that included bonuses, add ons etc.). Even at the time I think most of us on here couldn’t believe what a stupid idea his purchase was but then Stam’s regime seemed to want to bring nothing but attacking midfield types to the club at the time instead of the striker the club was (and still is) crying out for.

Still what’s done is done Reading have wasted money on players before and, sadly, will do so again.

Aluko's a close second to Pogrebnyak's deal worth £60k a week in my book.

Agree, Pog (lovely bloke) was a massive massive let down imo

And as for Aluko and fans here “not believing” his signing...I believed it (as did many)....he was red-hot for Fulham.

Played “out of position”.....“team not playing to his abilities”.....”no service” all sounds familiar?

Eitherway, all teams hire an Aluko at some stage. All teams discover a Clarke eventually. Hits and misses.

Shame to see Pusci showing so much early promise (who can forget his brace - near hat-trick v Colins Cardiff?)....then recently, a total collapse in fortunes. It happens in football, chins-up.

Well yeah, I’m not denying that :D

In my defence, some others here were actually creaming themselves.

The general reaction on here at the time to Aluko signing was that we had spent far too much money on a player who didn't fit our system in a position where we already had shitloads of cover.

It wasn't a signing met with much enthusiasm.

Come off it - he's (was) a decent Champ player (certainly at the time) - but just as FDTW said - was massively overpriced and not by any stretch a position needed

A player as bad as some make out wouldn't sustain a career at Champ level (and Prem briefly) for so long if it were true. Fulham (promotion rivals - or who were supposed to be) were disappointed to lose him, even if they were a bit bemused at the price we paid

Popa can't be far off - stunk the place out for years, by all accounts had a poor attitude and in general was just an awful footballer, bemused as to why people thought he should have been given a run in the first team

He was also Fulham’s captain. Thought it a bold signing albeit very costly.

He had a year left on his contract at Fulham with an option for an extra year and I seem to remember talk of the Fulham owners being keen to shift him off the wages.

Come off it? He was ok for Fulham, not very good as stated and stated at the time.

actually note my first comment on the first page:

Strikes me as one of those players who looks better than he actually is. Thought he was poor in the play off games

about right I reckon

Er I have a different opinion than you, I thought he was a good signing. We paid too much but considered him a good player at that level.
