Hendo
Pepe the Horseman Van de Beek is shite.

Classic case of being good because you're not in the team. There must've been a reason why he wasn't playing.

Yeah they could win 5 on the spin, get excited and give the Aldi version of Gareth Southgate the job and then fail again within a year. It is the United cycle.

Whilst a draw is a very good result at Stamford Bridge, thought they were very fortunate and more precisely, really poor

Lining up with three CDM’s and no Fernandes, in particular, was odd which reflected in the game as they really struggled to get a foothold. Don’t think they created a single chance of their own accord, all came from Chelsea mistakes (Mendy and Jorginho). Rashford was his usual run but not do much with it and Fernandes lost it time and time again

Whilst they will be very happy with the point, surely their fans will be concerned by just how many levels they were away from Chelsea (considering they finished a good few points ahead of them last season)

It was a bit like watching a Championship team playing away against a Premier League side.
3 (yes 3!!) defensive midfielders.

When you have spent hundreds and hundreds of millions of pounds on attacking players and yet have hardly a shot or corner in the game their players of yesteryear must be holding their heads in their hands as will long-standing fans.

Long may they carry on playing like this as they see the big 3 pulling further and further away both in terms of points and performances.

Roy Keane spot on with his "jobs for the boys" comment

Referring to Ole, Carrick and Fletcher been given jobs and their credentials not being upto scratch

Shambolic performance from United - the fact they are championing that as a result shows how far they have fallen. The stats were well and truly shocking. They are so far behind the other teams, they are years away from winning anything of note.

Very much enjoyed the row between Keane & Carragher over the point of signing Ronaldo and that statement sums it up.

If signing Ronaldo even at 36 is not going to get you any closer to winning the league then what was the point? They arguably already had enough to win a cup, given the element of luck that can be involved in winning one - so does Ronaldo give them enough to win the CL?

Wouldn't they be better off playing Greenwood week in, week out (as he looks a real talent) rather than falling back on the plan of get enough balls in to Ronaldo and he'll get you a goal?

Am not saying that Ronaldo is not still a goalscoring force to be reckoned with but if he doesn't make the difference between winning a league or not then it just looks like a deal done to avoid him wearing a City shirt (which was clearly a driving factor) where he would probably have fit better.

Agree with a fair bit of that although disagree with the last sentence as City’s game is so heavily focused on pressing high up the pitch and squeezing the opposition which Ronaldo simply doesn’t do as he wanders around the pitch

Referring to Keane’s comments that United should be able to accommodate a player of his quality, is also something I don’t agree with as they lack key players in key positions to complement his abilities. At the likes of Madrid where you have world class midfielders such as Modric, it’s not an issue as such but when you’re asking the likes of Fred, McTominay and Rashford to carry the extra workload, you’re creating more problems as they struggle to focus on their own game as it is

With Ronaldo in the team, United are more likely to win a trophy as he has the individual quality to take them over the line which you sort of allude to, but taking the whole situation into account, they’ve regressed and will likely continue to unless they find a balance to accommodate him

One note on Bailly and Lindelof, for two players who are ridiculed on a regular basis, thought they stood up to the challenge well. Quite telling that AWB was their only regular in the back four and he was by far the weakest link - but that isn’t totally surprising

It is but they have a higher quality of player doing it than Utd - so if you have the others playing a high press effectively knowing that if they win it all they have to do is get the ball to Ronaldo quickly and you have a high chance of a goal, you can "carry" him more than Utd currently can.

City dont strike me as a team particulalrly prepared to carry anyone. Had Ronaldo gone there, I couldn't see him being anything other than an impact sub.

United signing him struck me as a sop to a restless fan base.

Interesting that BR0B0T is back when things aren’t as bleak for Man Utd.

I’m sure that’s just coincidental.

Man Utd goalkeepers have saved 1 of the last 33 penalties they have faced in shoot outs

Look forward to BR0B0T’s take on the latest low.

If he can drag himself away from trying to troll the Team Board. A fruitless task as it trolls itself.
