Something weird happens to wingers at Reading. Or, specifically I'm thinking about Gareth McAuley. Maybe it's that, the McAuley effect. We signed one of the fastest and most skilful wingers of our level, and he spent years not running very fast, and not taking players on.

Oh for the days of Murty and Forster bombing up and down the right-hand side. Sometimes they even did an overlap.

Ugh. See. McCleary was so unlike the player that he should have been, I confused him with a West Brom defender!

Millsy Michael Meaker was a winger.
He wore a wingers hat
and when he saw the ball come in
he said I'm crossing that

Sanguine I love* how football gets grown men shouting 'just fcuk off' at other grown men, like a scene out of The Inbetweeners.
Football w@nkers.

How many more games do we think he WILL get. Not how many you want him to have.

2? 3? 10? Until the end of the season? Ad infinitum and will have a statue erected outside the ground celebrating his boring play style and shit substitutions?

Fed up with all his lame excuses after each match. He’s just buying time.

I don't like to post on these sorts of threads, because I want to support whoever is in charge.

NEVERTHELESS, I'm starting to wonder why Porno has a problem with understanding the real concept of playing football that looks like its football. By the end of the game on Tuesday, we had 2 CBs playing as strikers / forwards, a CM at CB, a striker playing LW. What the hell is he doing???!
Not to mention that Halilovic only played 10-15 minutes at the end. If he was fit, then he should be playing 35 minutes. I read on getreading what he said. 'We wanted to turn the momentum with Andy Carroll in the 2nd half'. So the question arises, why doesn't he play Andy from the beginning of the 2nd half rather than wait for the goal to come and it was coming btw. If I were Andy Carroll, I'd be knocking on the gaffer's door everyday this week wanting to know why I'm not playing from the start. If I'm feeling fit, then I should be playing. BUT, if we are to play Andy up top, don't just lump it up top to him, he needs players coming off him who can play the ball off him. Btw, I'm no expert on tactics, I've been playing Football Manager for the last x years,

Funny how the anger directed at Pauno has taken a quantum leap up as our points deduction has come in, like he's at fault for that.

tbf with Carroll, he hasn't played for something like 6 months. To manage over an hour in a week is a seriously good effort from him - he must have done a great job of staying in shape - massive fair play to him for that.

I've no doubts Pauno would love to be starting him. He does need to be managed carefully though, and hopefully in the next few games he can be on from the beginning

Funny how the anger directed at Pauno has taken a quantum leap up after two winnable home games have returned a solitary 1 point.

I think the 6 points deduction was seen as two wins and they were going to come straight away in the next two games. They didn't. Pauno out.

It's got fcuk all to do with the points deduction and everything to do with the continuous shambolic team selection and performances. People have been more patient with him due to injuries and lack of options, but Tuesday was the strongest squad we've had possibly all season, and it was the worst performance.

Careful what you wish for....

If he goes....

every chance we get Neil Warnock. Would you like that?

Probably one of the rare occasions he is available whilst we are seeking a manager.

Neil Warnock
Chris Hughton
Tony Pulis
Mick Mccarthy

In the trenches managers, take any of them?

Or are we poaching, Gareth Ainsworth, Phil Parkinson, Karl Robinson

Or some random from eastern european?

It will be a random Eastern European or Portuguese.

More likely that he goes back to Sheff Utd or finally retires.

Not a chance.

We actually need Neil Wanock, only until the end of the season. We would 100% stay up, might not be pretty though.
