Andy Yiadom has a soft tissue injury. Femi Azeez picked up an injury in the game v Hull.

Harsh on Femi as that was a pretty poor tackle from the Hull game, came right in from behind and had a good swipe at his ankle, could've happened to anyone at any time in any match.

Hope its no more than a knock, thought he was excellent. His first touch is incredibly good. One of those things that make you realise how good you have to be to be a pro!

Happy enough with Tetek filling in as i suspect he will in the AFCON at RB

Not happy at all with Tetek filling in at right-back-he looks like a little boy lost.
By the time the AFCON starts hopefully Rhino will be fit at last so would much prefer him playing there.

wouldn't blame it at all for that tbh - was a half decent ball forward and he got a block in. Somebody in the midfield should have been closer to their goalscorer

Tetek played fullback v Boro and after a shaky opening few minutes was terrific. Strong tackles and composed and neat and tidy on the ball.

Yeah, I feel there are a few other people to blame before Tetek for the goal.

Got to remember that he is only just coming back from an injury himself so is going to be a little rusty. Sure that some more match minutes and you'll see an up-tick in his game. Agree that he was very good v 'Boro.

Be interesting to know what the coach's thought process manual is on that one. Because he went with the runner to track the run rather than watching the ball, a ball he could of intercepted. He kind of did actually, without him knowing!!

McIntyre was dreadful at LB at the start of the season. Not his own fault but tucks in too much - even if he was fit we really should be avoiding that

I think you are looking to make a case for him but I felt that he was all at sea in that moment and to my eyes he doesn't look to be a natural defender which I guess he isn't and looks to be an attacking midfielder.

I hope he does well in time as we need him but I recall a few on here thinking that Ryan East and Olly Pendlebury would have a long career with us and 2 other little 'uns in Keown and Kelly but IMHO if you are small in the modern game you have to be extra quick or extra strong or extra skillful to make it.

Honeyman on Saturday, Kante of course,Lamptey,Ben Pearson and Barry Bannan come to mind but IMHO they are rare in English football.,

I think you are looking to make a case for him but I felt that he was all at sea in that moment and to my eyes he doesn't look to be a natural defender which I guess he isn't and looks to be an attacking midfielder.

Presumably you mean Kuhl rather than Keown. Keown was not a little guy except in comparison to Jake Cooper!

I don't think hype over East was ever bigger than "maybe he could play a bit", he was never considered on Kuhl and Kelly's level. Kelly played nearly 100 times for us. Kuhl's career was ruined by a series of knee injuries. In most positions I'm not sure height is still relevant - we've certainly had our fair share of small players, including Rinomhota for example, Halilovic, Drinkwater, Richards, Olise, going back a bit you'd have Le Fondre, Barrow, Tabb, Karacan, Beerens, Convey... pretty much every Premier League side has a short player or two, even Burnley have Ashley Westwood. There are very few big guys around these days who aren't also extra quick or skilful, skill is a qualification expected of almost every player.

yeah don't disagree in general. Not overly enamoured with either of them being there for any length of time but I feel TMc just offers a bit more at both ends currently. Granted not see lots of Bristow

I'm pretty sure Tetek is left footed, so should be able to fill in at left back.

I do think McIntyre is quite conservative at left back and probably wouldn't give us the width we need down that side, but he can do a job. Likewise Abbey. I'm concerned about Bristow and Samuels defensively.

When Yiadom and Rahman are at the ACoN, hopefully Araruna is fit (appreciate that might be a pipe dream). If our options for the two slots are Araruna, Holmes, McIntyre, Tetek and Bristow then I think we'll be fine. Probably won't fly up the table but we'll cope.

I don't think it's a coincidence that we got forward more often and far quicker without Ovie.

Personally I'd have him on the bench to change the game if needed
