Millsy Today would be a win was it not for another keeper error.

Truly, don't know right now, I'm mindful that I'm upset about the result.

To me, the annoying thing wasn't the dropping of two points. It's that it was totally predictable. You could see it coming a mile off.

The team was set up for the second half to drop deep, completely concede possession, and just hope you can get enough blocks in to stop them scoring. That's not a game plan. It's just riding your luck.

We did exactly the same against Blackpool, and lost. We did the same at 3-1 v QPR, and only just escaped with a draw.

Reluctantly heading towards out.

9pts from 33 is shocking and losing 7pts from 2 goal leads, all at home may kill us.

But the main reason. I don't see the sense in a new deal for him. So he's gone in June. Him seeing it out just seems like the worst option even if we stay up as we will have to rebuild the squad and find a new manager.

Something also needs to change and we can't buy anyone so...

New man comes in with the view to keep us up but either way we have someone in place to build the squad now.

Only other option is hope he gets us safe then move on before the season ends.

Don't think we have to worry about his deal winding down. Like Swift/Blackman/Williams/insert name here, he'll have an incentive to perform well in order to secure a new deal, with us or elsewhere.

Be a decent enough coach under a good manager. Needs to gain more experience before stepping up again.

Out for me now. We somehow got a 2-0 lead and despite the tactics clearly not working for the majority of the second half we didn't change a thing.

My only concern is do I have any faith that we will appoint a decent replacement. Absolutely not.

Lower West Past caring. The manager alone cannot take all the flak. The root of the problem lies within the club itself.

I voted in because I just don't think sacking managers all the time is sustainable. However his record is fcuking terrible and he just doesn't seem to learn anything.

However the players are totally to blame. This team is as bad as the team that got relegated to the 3rd tier under Bullivant for plain spinelessness and incompetence. I am sick of them.

As long as relegation is a threat then a manager should have no complaints if he is sacked

Even in games we have won we are hanging on. To negative sit back and wait for the opposition to score. whenever we are defending a corner he brings all 11 players back, there is never an outlet and the ball just keeps coming back. We have now thrown away seven points from having a two-goal advantage. And on each occasion The manager has taken forward players off and bought on defensive midfielders or said to halves. He never seems to learn today was just one game too many.

Something needs to change, not sure it's the manager though.

An injury here or there is fair enough, but our injury list is not just bad luck. That many players out for this long is a symptom of something not right, whether it's over training, too much contact work, insufficient rest or whatever.

I'm still pauno in. I'd only want to see him leave if they could somehow persuade Jokanovic to take his place and there's no chance of that in our current situation.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm becoming too apathetic to care. Yesterday was not a surprise, while the anger at losing 2 points only lasted about 5 minutes for me as I've become used to it over the past 5 years.

I'm pretty ambivalent about the Pauno question, as I expect more mediocrity and the risk of relegation whatever decision we make. The malaise over this club is great. Maybe if I move back home and start going to more games my opinions will become stronger.

In.

The objective this season is to stay up and I think with Pauno, we will achieve this.

A change now is massively risky and would give rise to a compensation payment to Pauno and a possible sign on fee for a new Manager; neither of which is affordable.

Furthermore, some players we’ve signed for this season have made it clear that Pauno was part of the reason they’re joined the Club.

We missed Drinkwater/Rinamohta yesterday. Swift’s legs had gone 15 mins from time.

This coming Summer will be the first and probably biggest overhaul we’ve seen at the Club.

Some tinkering now; possibly Swift, Rafael and Puscas to go and then wholesale changes in the Summer.

Yesterday’s loss of two points was about a single moment; Southwood’s mistake.

It changed everything. It reminded me of Bonetti in Leon in 1970.

He punches clear or catches it; it’s just another ineffective, desperate cross pumped into the box.

We were in total control yesterday; until that moment. If we had been Derby fans, at that time we would have been getting more and more frustrated; Dann and Holmes and Southwood had it all under control.

All this bollocks about Pauno in or Pauno out is getting tiresome.

Don't disagree with the Southwood error being the big moment. It was a poor cross, and I felt at the time they'd pretty much given up - in fact it was our best period of the second half around then.

It was an inexplicable error tbh. It looks worse every time I see it.

But, an error like that could be attributed to the way we look to defend leads. We are happy to sit so far back and cede so much space wide that we have to defend cross after cross after cross. Not letting Southwood off the hook, esp as he nearly let a relatively tame shot squirm under him earlier in the half, but the more times you have to deal with a cross the higher the chance is that a defender misjudges one or a keeper drops one, punches poorly etc.

If we want to sit deep on leads, then we have to get better at stopping crosses at source.

Either way it's a roll of the dice but still think Pauno (and the team once back to full strength) are good enough ... ppg indicates 50 which should do it this season.
And can't see anyone good being interested in coming here under present circumstances.

Ok now the dust has settled, all I'm really hearing for this sudden backlash of people suddenly switching from IN/fence to OUT is that we didn't defend a 2-0 lead well enough. Really? SACK him at this stage because of this!?!?????

Against a side with (according to Dellor iirc) the 2nd best defensive record in the league? So we can ignore going 2 up against such a side. Fitness is a bollocks excuse but there is no doubt we're lacking a right back, and the one we did have got somehow injured and so we ended bringing on our 77th choice right back instead.

Really? We're suddenly mad at Pauno because he was unable to hold a 2-0 lead and was too defensive?

You'd have thought we were walloped 7-0 the way some of us are bedwetting.

Whatever your position is, in or out, that's fine and you're entitled to it, but for the life of me I can't see how just about failing to hold onto a 2-0 lead means one can change position.

Knee-jerk voting.

Quite funny how this poll is playing out.

From the hot-head 80%+ OUT straight after the game (not sure how many votes Royal Jimmy was casting  ) to the more sedate reasoned levelling-out this morning.
