I'm under no illusion that we shouldn't surrender leads as often or as easily as we do and that is a concern that another manager would improve, I just can't see another manager having us significantly better off because at the end of the day, they will still have the same embargo to deal with this month, the players aren't likely to come back any quicker from injuries etc. The same problems that Pauno is up against would still be there for a new manager.
Yes, we may not surrender as many leads and we may be more defensively sound with McCarthy or Warnock for half a season and I don't doubt both of them would keep us up, but I believe Pauno will keep us up as well.
You've got that the wrong way round. We're not conceding loads of goals because we're at the bottom, we're at the bottom because we're conceding loads of goals. A manager who could tighten up our defensive play would make a big difference right now.
