SCIAG Long post incoming.
Colin is completely opposed to everything this club stands for. He is completely out of touch with modern football, his teams tend to have a violent and antiquated style, and he has on more than one occasion set his teams out to deliberately injure our players including earlier this very season. How would Tetek, Hoilett and Southwood feel about being asked to take orders from a man like that? Also, his recent managerial record isn’t even very good.
Dream picks from the unemployed options: Hughton, Jokanovic, Hughes, Bruce
Hughton got Newcastle and Norwich to 11th in the PL, established Brighton as a PL side, and got Birmingham into the play-offs.
Jokanovic got Fulham and Watford promoted.
Hughes and Bruce are Premier League managers. Hughes’s record with Blackburn, Man City, and Stoke is enviable and he saved Southampton from relegation. Bruce similarly has a great record from Birmingham, Wigan, Hull, Sunderland and Newcastle, including four promotions from this level.
More realistic options I would be happy with: Neil, Lambert, former Rangers manager Graeme Murty, Duff, Ainsworth, Viveash (a long term pick of mine), Darrell Clarke, Ian Evatt, Liam Manning, Ryan Lowe
Most of those are under contract so might not be affordable, but that’s the sort of name I think we should be going for - young, upcoming managers with modern sensibilities. Don’t have to be English but that is the area I know the most about.
Frankly if we got Pulis or McCarthy… fine. I’d even tolerate Allardyce. But Warnock is in a league of his own for sheer tosserness.

Snowflake Royal Keane hasn't had a job since 2011! And in his less than 200 games, he won 1 more game than he lost.
Maybe we should offer Curbishly the position.

Ps - curbishley been out of work since 2008 so from your logic that rules him out.

Ignoring the fact he’s been a number 2 since then and ready to go again?

Wooo, he's done some part time at Ireland, a year at Villa in 2014 and a year at Forest in 2019.
What a candidate.

blythspartan Just watched Forest dump Arsenal out of the FA cup. Cooper has really turned them around and I hope whoever we choose can do the same for us.

They had players with pace. It makes such a difference.
