We should really stop building our squad full of sick notes.

McIntyre, Yiadom, Swift and Joao are well well established as frequently out with injury. Moore has known shoulder issues.

Yes, a lot (but not all) of that has come about here. Joao was a known sick note when we signed him. And we haven't done much to move them on or get reliable back up with players where the pattern is established over years.

true to an extent, but Rino barely got injured before this year and has been out all season, Moore likewise missing frequently this year, whilst the likes of Swift and Yiadom have played most games. Joao's was a bit of a freak injury - not sure there is much accounting for what he did.

There's definitely something not right with the medical set up mind you. The time its taking players to come back is the most concerning - injuries do happen in games and training, but it seems much more than coincidence that Rino, Morrison, Araruna, McIntyre, Ejaria plus no doubts some others, are all taking longer to come back than expected

According to ya ITK man on twitter, Ovie isn't vaccinated and lives with 7 relatives, so has to isolate every time one of them gets covid.

That’s ridiculous and unsustainable going forward.

Of course the high comedy in all this is that if you’re vaccinated you can still get it and odd it on

Whilst the chances of testing positive are drastically lower than that of if you are not vaccinated as well as the benefit of not having to self isolate every time someone in your household tests positive which, in a 8 person household that Ejaria lives in, would be a big benefit as well. Each to their own I suppose.

Obita and McCleary played the full 90 minutes as they have done for most of this season.

These two were forever injured when with us and yet now at Wycombe they look as fit as they have ever been.

It really does make you wonder (obviously not this example in isolation) about our medical care towards the players.

Up til now he's been claiming it's down to bad luck (mostly impact injuries) , sounds to me like he's changing his tune ?.

I don't think you can have 10 plus players out injured every match for months on end & it not be somehow related to how they train or the medical team, nobody can have that level of bad luck for so long.

I don't know what the answer is because it's been happening for so long & under previous managers as well, but it's now got to the laughable stage with pauno's teams.

Echoing what the previous poster said about players out injured for long periods with us then moving to other teams & playing every week, one that comes to mind is stephen quinn, plays 7 games in his last 2 seasons with us, but goes to burton & mansfield (admittingly in L1 & 2) and plays 120 games in the next 4 seasons.

If somebody new does come in i can see a point where they say they can't believe how unfit our players were when they arrived at the club.

Yep noticed those two playing regularly

Wouldn’t have offered either a new deal (or very very reduced if I did) but great to see them still performing and both certainly could have been treated better

Both were coming off high contracts, long injury issues, not showing good enough to be regulars and with us when we needed to refresh the squad and cut costs.

Obita wouldn’t have got a look in with Richards here last year.

Think Blackett was more worth of a contract, Bowen’s reluctance to play him was frustrating but by all accounts, he went chasing the £££. Would say both players are at about the right level

Possible. Andresson hasn't played a minute at Morecombe since end November and they signed a new keeper on loan last week, so either they knew we recalling him and got the replacement in first or we've recalled him as he won't see much more action there so may as well go elsewhere or fight to be #2 here.

We may have had an offer for Holden on loan at L2 level I guess but with CBC as well, not sure we'd want 3 young keepers hanging around unless Rafael is off in the coming days.

Though think Maidenhead also signed another keeper recently as well.
