Are these the line-up graphics?

Have we been transported back to 1970?

At least the Ayew’s and Baba’s have different numbers. They seemed to have cloned Yiadom

Algeria up first today against Sierra Leone. I am backing Algeria to go quite far in this tournament, have some very decent players.

Thought that about Senegal’s team, a fair few decent player but they were shambolic. Their LCB/LWB, not sure where he was playing was particularly bad, couldn’t kick the ball straight and kept fouling them

Mind you, didn’t help Senegal was part of my accumulator, staying well clear of the AFCON now

Agree on Algeria, Mahrez in good form too. Senegal had a few out due to covid, so they should improve. Hopefully we'll get a decent game between Nigeria and Egypt later. And will be good to see the ex-Reading boys repping Guinea-Bissau these evening.

The vuvuzela noise is already getting unbearable.
Guinea-Bissau with a comedy missed penalty and rebound hitting the bar.

Still waiting for this tournament to burst into life. Can't fault the comedy value, but has been lacking in any kind of quality. Dark horses Mali will be looking to change that in the early KO.

It has been a really poor tournament so far, resembles one of those awful preseason Emirates tournaments.

Yeh, even the individual players like Mane, Salah, Yiadom and Mahrez have been shite.

Have to wonder if they are focussed on not getting injured rather than winning matches for their teams. I think the tournment will come alive in the knockout phase but the group stages will be a real slog to get through. I ended up putting an old episode of the Bill on yesterday afternoon, it was way better than the football.
