Club 1871 has without doubt improved the atmosphere at home games, singing, chanting, humour, banter and noise at home games.

It was becoming like a much smaller version of Tottenham or Arsenal; quiet chatter, interspersed by moaning and whining.

Frankly, it’s the first time since Elm Park (with the exception of when the whole stadium has been rocking in the glory years of 05/06 and 11/12) that we have had a consistent noise from fans throughout the game (more or less).

Away support remains reasonable too; even post-Covid; where we are regularly taking 1000 plus fans away from home and most are Club 1871.

Lol - throw in a long queue and expensive half time pint of crap beer and you have the modern matchday experience in a nutshell.

Root blaming the bowlers. Not really throwing any blame at our pathetic batting display.

They are, lots of booing and hissing. One supporter used the word "nincompoop".

You must know them all very well to know their views on how they compare with other fans. Fair play to you...I didn't realise you had that close a relationship with them.

I still dont the desperation to be a better fan than others or even try the comparison. The line, they are not real fans, what does that even mean? They are there, bought a ticket and at least trying to sing. What exactly else do you want a fan to do, seriously?
You want them to come warm up the seats for all the guys who went to the last away game? Give you a handy in the toilets before the game? Or is it because certain fans have remained in their original seat they are a true Reading supporter. Hardcore fan, blue and white through and through.
Just support the team in which ever way you want and dont bitch about other supporters.
Its not a dick swinging contest.

This is spot on. But we are all to blame for rising to the bait that the muppet keeps drip feeding us.

C1871 do a cracking job. Those of us that actually go to games KNOW this. The pondlife that "get off" on slating either RFC or C1871 have an IQ in single digits (and I am being kind here).

So there you go DI...you have reeled me in again. No doubt your response will be sensible, balanced and a joy to read :D :D :D :D :D

Club1871 have been abysmal and pathetic lately

No noise against Derby
Abuse by the wannabe hooligans
Sex offender chants at mitrovic

But they still think they are getting behind the club  :

Over to you Club1871...

1. No drummer against Derby so 1871 really struggled, they have got used to being led.
2. You're always gonna have those wannabe hooligans next to the away section where ever that is.
3. That was a very small chant by those wanna be hooligans that didn't catch on or go far. Perhaps you can let them off given the circumstances of that match... not much you can do about that...but yes not ideal

Tbf, on point 3, they've been doing it for a while, first heard it when we played Middlesborough and Warnock was in town on the F1 bus to the stadium. Thought it was pathetic and cringe then as it was sung by what was obviously 18/19 year olds who had been on the WKD pretty early. I remember remarking to Lady Hendo "I also remember when I had my first beer"
