Zip
Ascotexgunner The more I listened to Brian McDermott this morning, the more I realised that the DOF is crucial now for how we progress. It's not just about the manager. If Paunovic is staying, he needs help. The people above are clueless.
McDermott for me sounded hungry and desperate to help.
I would appoint him like a shot. He has the connections and experience.
Big up for Simon Cox as well. Best opinion I've heard in his interview. He called out the fake oligarch and Gourley. Top bloke.

Yep good post. There is no doubt Pauno has been dealt a very poor hand with what appears to be precious little support. Quite why we don’t have a DoF is beyond me. He badly needs help if he is to stay.

Pauno is also fronting all the criticism with the owners nowhere to be seen. On one hand I feel very sorry for him. On the other I just don’t think he is up to it.

Fair bit of criticism for the owners. But you need to wear a helmet for the Stockholm syndrome crowd who cry about how brilliant they are and the club wouldn’t exist without them.

Zip I have never known the anger expressed by every Reading fan I talked to last night having walked out when the fourth went in.

We usually have a pretty passive fan base. Last night everyone I spoke to without exception.....around twenty people were livid. Everyone wanted Pauno out. One idiot blamed him for the loss of Academy players last season which was absurd. I was disagreeing with him on the bus about that. He was seething.

I am very surprised he is still in post. I cannot see him turning things around and expect another heavy defeat at the weekend.

I have felt for a while we were a club on the way down and unless we are able to somehow strengthen in the next few weeks just don’t see how we will stay up.

Sad times.

I'm weirdly apathetic.

Last time I was livid leaving a match was the 4-0 defeat to Ipswich under Clement. I think I've just been worn down since then.

Likewise last night strangely didn’t bother me as much. Derby pissed me off far more

Think I’ve just given up on Pauno altogether now. Marking time til he gets the boot

Last time I was properly angry I think was at Kassam watching Taxi's team play. IIRC he went the next day.

Yeh same. I was really pissed off after the Derby game. Pretty angry/shocked after the Kiddy game. Completely apathetic once the first goal went in last night.

me and jnr leon II left on 5.

If they couldn't be arsed to be there why should we?. Fcuk being a "proper fan".

I've seen plenty of shit wearing the hoops but this lot remind me very much of that Bullivant team. Mismanaged and totally disorganised.

I wasn't even particularly angry apart from the fact that it's Fulham. (Doesn't matter if they go up this season the twats will get a seeing to and then get relegated)

For the first time in 25+ years seriously considering not getting a ST wherever this shower of shit end up.

Fickle fans who ring 6-0-6 every week and complain about wealthy owners not spending money. Seem to know little about team building and more importantly the organisation behind the teams that drives the success. Takes around 900 people to get two competitive Mlcarens on the grid....... Drivers are the stars of course.

The ones complaining about the owners are the ones who defended Madejski not spending and are angry at us spending money the club didn’t have. IMO.

FAKE and bullshit! Bullivant resigned in 1998, Oxford United moved to the Kassam in 2001.

I am not reading too much into that for now. I am not sure we have enough fit senior players to bother holding a training session tbh.

Maybe. But it would be a bit weird for his source to say that he didn't attend training if there was no training...

For those who were there is this defeat worse than the 6-0 defeat when Brizzle visited and all six goals were scored in the second half by two strikers?

Whatever became of them? They seemed quite promising strikers at the time.

Someone on Twitter suggesting if we sack him we would trigger the suspended additional points deduction

That tosh or any truth?

I would suggest the only person who will know that is the person with the accounts in front of them. So I’m calling tosh

Rubbish. What about if we sold someone at the same time or got Rafaels wages off the books instead?

I was at Bristol and watched Fulham online.

I'd say Fulham was worse. But it's close.

I remember us being carved apart vs Bristol, I don't really remember us just giving up though. But it was a long time ago.

Last night was worse because the players threw in the towel. It was hard to believe the two sides were competing in the same division. The gulf between the two sides in the second half was ridiculous.

It's rubbish because VP has 6 months left. That 6 months will already be in the business plan so is accounted for, it doesn't matter if he gets that money now or over the coming months. If he had 18 months left, may be a different story.

What it may restrict is how much we have available to pay the next guy. Possibly need to be creative i.e. x now with y to follow in July if we stay up.
