Not sure if QPR put out a weakened side or not but posh stuffed the side that beat us 4-0 last week.

Stuffed is stretching it. QPR had 72% possession and 16 shots, only3 on target. Peterborough had 3 shots and scored both of their on target shots.

Total smash and grab.

43 top flight appearances yielding a whole 6 goals in an 18 year career. He’s a good goal scorer at this level but “class” is a bit of a stretch.

He has scored the most goals in Championship history. If you don't think that makes him a class player then that's up to you. He's a fantastic Championship level striker, couldn't give a toss about the Premier League.

So you couldn’t give a damn about comparing him at the level where the very best, and genuinely class players play?

Ok.

This highest scorer in Championship history bollocks is all a bit Year Zero. He's the scored more goals in the 2nd Tier than anyone else between 2004 and 2022.

Brian Clough scored 250 goals in 274 second tier appearances.

Pretty strong from what I can make out and yep its the cup so no pressure on them but they will gain confidence from it; just as we would have if we'd beaten a top six side if we were still in.

You can maybe make a case for 1992 but it's not as if the Championship is even any different to the division that existed between 1992 and 2004.

My example of Brian Clough is maybe of a different era but for an example of someone more recent, Steve Bull scored 160+ goals in the 2nd Tier.

Strong Rangers team who dominated throughout, credit to posh who kept a clean sheet against a team we shifted 7 goals to.

Am I the only person pleased that Posh went through?

It gives them another game to reschedule, and with the game to be played in early March, it means their focus won't be 100% on survival; that has to be a good thing for us, especially as we play them in a coupld of weeks (they have 2 games a week for the whole of February incidentally.......)

Looks like Warnock is going to Barnsley. I watched the highlights of the Kidderminster game last night and it reminded me of what fight, a game plan, hard work and determination is all about. Qualities we sadly lack.

Bad news for us. While we stick with a clown taking us down, if they get someone with form for saving clubs, we could be looking at finishing bottom, not worry about staying ahead of Derby to stay up.

I don't think finishing 24th is going to feel that much worse than finishing 23rd or 22nd. It is a simple case of staying up or going down.
Preferably the former :D

Big big week this week.

We have a run of 6 games in 17 days coming up. Before we have a tough batch of games in March. Pauno should have been sacked during this break so that the new manager came in for a run of games which are winnable with what should be the end of our injury crisis.

Can`t quite understand why someone that lives in Cornwall keeps taking jobs way up north.

100% agree. I just wish they’d get Pauno out of the club and get a couple of senior players with a bit of outside help, to manage the team. “No Manager” would be a better option than Pauno.

I would be Warnock’s greatest achievement to keep them up.
