No you didn't. As others pointed out, you ignored most the stats and selected those that 'proved' your point. You're being remarkably childish about all this Ian.

so just so we can all understand your position on this sangers, and you in the pauno in or out camp?

I've said plenty of times that he should go. I went later than most, but clearly his time is run. I don't however believe that a change is going to make much difference at all.

Ian is spot on, as are the majority who back action against the manager. That said I see where Sanguine is coming from, protests and pitch invasions aren't for everyone.

Calling those who went on the pitch "the dregs of society" isn't fair though. They are long time supporters of the club who don't want to see it fall into League 1 and want managerial change. The owner is absent and they wanted to send a message. Doing nothing wasn't an option.

tidus_mi2 11am announcements are pretty traditional right?

It is bad luck in China to announce bad luck before the sun has gone down over there. I would expect a later announcement, around 2pm our time.

The sun set in Beijing an hour ago? :?

Oh I made it up, it sounded plausible.

Ah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.

Sure he’ll find us yet another perfect fit.

Let's hope the 'discussion' is

Kia: May I suggest we look at -
Dai: F**k off Kia, I'm not listening to you again.

Why are you listening to anything being said by a fake journalist? He would have the first clue and posts Reading FC related stuff to get likes from the 16 year olds in half term who don't know any better.

Of course it would be safe to assume Kia would be involved, we all know that. Its not news.

True, I'm not really taking it seriously, just joining in the speculation.

I'm not going to waste much time worrying how 'fair' I am to men who fight with their club's own fans.

is Kia mates with Valerian Ismael - now - that be a decent move - but still has to be Warnock.

It's football, it happens. Happens at Reading far less than pretty much every other club in English football. Probably explains why there a minority of people who overreact when it does.

What's cringeworthy is the apathy tbh. 8 straight defeats and we can't understand why people might invade the pitch for the manager to go!?

And we're running on the pitch because we've lost a few games.

I mean I don’t entirely disagree with your wider point but that simply isn’t true

Oh yeah, 'passion of the game', and all that. I don't consider mine an overreaction. You don't end up fighting just because you care about Reading Football Club.

Sanguine Sure, there's always this type of fan at a football club - my post was more a response to Millsy's assertion 'well of course fans went on the pitch'. Err, no. We just lost a few football matches. It is silly, entitled stuff - although I guess what we are getting to now is a generation of fans who have only ever known us as a Championship/PL club.

Sorry but "we just lost a few football matches" is reductive. We have "just lost a few football matches" many times before and no one felt the need to invade. But the huge Harriers defeat, the huge Fulham home defeat, 8 defeats in a row, a man who has lost the dressing room leading us into freefall and a certain drop to league one. If you can't see the reason they felt the need to risk a ban and think what has been going on is just a few defeats then I really cannot comment further!

There's nothing wrong with a generation of fans who see us as a Champ/PL club btw. It's fans (like me btw) who saw us languishing in the third tier for years who shouldn't be holding back aspirations of the newer lot.

For the record, I didn't invade and I absolutely wouldn't and I do understand some of your thoughts. But I totally understand their protest and give it my blessing. Thanks to them we might be seeing Pauno go. If it was left to those who find this sort of thing cringeworthy, we would soon find ourselves in League One "where we belong", as I'm sure another generation of fans unhelpfully and wrongly believes.

Thing is it's self-fulfilling. If Pauno is sacked, which he surely has coming, some of you will genuinely believe it is because these knuckle-draggers, some of whom subsequently were abusive towards other Reading fans, went on the pitch. It won't be.

It isn't reductive to say 'we've just lost some football matches' in the context of Pauno and the team. That really is it. We are not entitled to Championship football. Fans ran on to the pitch whilst the players were still on it. Want to protest the Board? Fine. Organise, and do it. Peacefully.

I know I'm relatively alone here, but the personal abuse of the manager and players and just can't abide by. If that makes me 'in an odd mood' then so be it.

Very few people on here are “personally abusing” the players.

Which is surprising because they’ve criminally underperformed this season.

They have underperformed, but I'd say that's due to coaching issues.

It's not that they don't care or aren't arsed. In fact I think it'd be hard to find players who don't care. That's one of those things that gets levelled at players which I get frustrated with. It's their livelihood, and they wouldn't have reached the 2nd tier of English football if they didn't give a shit.

Most of the time it's either coaching issues or just that they aren't quite good enough.

The players have gotten away very lightly. Most of the performances have been unprofessional over the past few months. Some of them disgraceful where players simply threw in the towel. They should be embarrassed and are as much to blame as Pauno.

Name a more passionate manager who's available right now?

And no teams in a relegation battle play attractive pass and move football. They defend as a team and counter, and Warnock would give us that and the passion and fight we are currently lacking.

These players have underperformed massively this season. They can blame the manager but ultimately they’re responsible for their performances.

Yes the manager (and coaching staff) sets them up for set pieces but he doesn’t lose his man at a corner. For example.

If VP is gone, and until we get confirmation it is an if, then that is the last hiding place for this squad gone.

Either they are better than they've been showing, in which case they'll comfortably pull away from danger or they're just, as a group, a bit shit.

You are being very kind here. Too kind. The performances have been pitiful on occasions. They gave up v Fulham and made no real effort v Luton. They just gave up.
Work rate less than opposition teams week in week out. Too many of them not fit enough to last a full 90 minutes etc etc.
Yes you can blame the coach for some of this but they have responsibility as highly paid professionals too. They will have known their own fitness levels were not up to scratch.
