Name a more passionate manager who's available right now?

Neil Warnock.

Has to be Warnock. He's exactly what we need.

Would not want him long term though, don't think that would work at all. Just get him in til May, offer him a huge bonus for keeping him up. If we can't put the bonus through the books because of FFP then the owner can just give him a really big birthday present when his next birthday comes around.

genome They have underperformed, but I'd say that's due to coaching issues.

It's not that they don't care or aren't arsed. In fact I think it'd be hard to find players who don't care. That's one of those things that gets levelled at players which I get frustrated with. It's their livelihood, and they wouldn't have reached the 2nd tier of English football if they didn't give a shit.

Most of the time it's either coaching issues or just that they aren't quite good enough.

Agree with this but I also think there is an element of the attitude of some players. I wouldn't describe any of them as not bothered or even lazy, but more luxury players, like Joao, Swift and in some cases Ejaria etc. We've run through 3/4 different managers now and we've seen basically the same end product with all of them, maybe bar Bowen.

You'd think we wouldn't have a squad in that manner, especially with many players being out of contract and/or coming through the academy, you'd think they would be playing for their futures. But it's quite obvious they've all lost faith in Pauno, hence the rumours we are hearing now, but I wouldn't say it's all the managers fault in general, because similar things have happened with Gomes, Clement etc before but I wonder if any other people are having an influence into these decisions. Of course, players losing faith in the manager is down to the manager, but not every issue translating to our recent results or even results this season is primarily down to the manager I think.

You are being very kind here. Too kind. The performances have been pitiful on occasions. They gave up v Fulham and made no real effort v Luton. They just gave up.
Work rate less than opposition teams week in week out. Too many of them not fit enough to last a full 90 minutes etc etc.
Yes you can blame the coach for some of this but they have responsibility as highly paid professionals too. They will have known their own fitness levels were not up to scratch.

This.

They’ve been entirely unprofessional and lacking in any sense of pride whatsoever.

It’s been embarrassing.

You'd think that wouldn't be the case though with so many players out of contract and wanting to secure either a contract here or a better contract elsewhere, their futures are on the line.

Our better players know they'll be alright regardless. Swift, Laurent, Holmes will all get decent enough offers regardless of how they perform now. They might already have pre-contract agreements in place for all we know.

You’d think that yes. The evidence points to an entirely different conclusion.

There may be preliminary discussions or "verbal agreements" between parties but I can't imagine anything concrete will have happened at this point. Just going off previous interest, I can't imagine many PL clubs will be looking at Swift given his form since November, maybe top Championship clubs as well as Laurent and Holmes both wanted by Forest previously, I can't imagine they'd be looking at them at the moment due to poor form as well as it depending on what division they are playing in next season. If they remain a Championship club next season and their performances improve, then quite possibly they'll move on. I don't think anything will be near certain yet though.

How are they luxury players when they are also our top scorers?

Take out Swifts goals this year and Joao's last, and we've had been lower mid last year/already relegated this

Luxury players are typically described as "gifted footballers" that don't tend to work as hard defensively. Obviously, most of them are seen at top clubs, but Swift and Joao are our type of luxury players in our squad at the moment.
