HoundYorkshireRoyal99 Agree with this but I also think there is an element of the attitude of some players. I wouldn't describe any of them as not bothered or even lazy, but more luxury players, like Joao, Swift and in some cases Ejaria etc. We've run through 3/4 different managers now and we've seen basically the same end product with all of them, maybe bar Bowen.
.
How are they luxury players when they are also our top scorers?
Take out Swifts goals this year and Joao's last, and we've had been lower mid last year/already relegated this

What's cringeworthy is the apathy tbh. 8 straight defeats and we can't understand why people might invade the pitch for the manager to go!?
Charlton fans put up with six months of total ownership limbo before a peaceful protest that blocked the club's boardroom, and that follows years of bullshit from Roland Duchatelet during which time they've barely survived as a club. Other examples of club supporters' groups leading peaceful pre-game protests against ownerships and trying to force change.
And we're running on the pitch because we've lost a few games.
Classless and pathetic.
And look at them... ex top flight side now lower pretty much than they've ever been. They deserve it.
We won't copy them.

Ridiculous claim
Mr Champions Medal poncing about giving the ball away cheaply and never marking anyone?
Yeah. He cgaf and isn’t even remotely applying himself.
Perhaps you’re right. Pulled you up singling him out as the only one. Bristol was pathetic aside from the last 15 minutes with the players looking as lethargic and disinterested as ever. He didn’t feature until that last 15 minutes
The entire team gave up against Fulham. Drinkwater was taken off at 3-0. Impact far extends beyond one player

Eh? Apart from the 50s and a spell at the beginning of this century, they've been the very definition of a 2nd/3rd tier team.

andrew1957 If it is true that Kia is the one who will make the decision re the new manager then there is probably no point sacking Pauno - as all that will happen is that we will get yet another foreign manager that no one has heard of to replace Pauno - who no one had heard of before he was appointed.

The reason I went from In to Out was precisely because things had got so bad it simply doesn’t matter who the replacement is, it just has to be a new voice.
So I really don't think it matters short term.

Yeah exactly. It’s a case of someone might be as bad but they might be better, but might as well change as they couldn’t be worse. (Famous last words).
I’ve maintained this squad is far too good to go down (also famous last words) but we’ve seen we have the quality, they could play better without a manger imho so hopefully a new influence, a positive bounce should see us safe.
Next season’s problems can wait until next season. Certainly if Kia is picking then unless we fluke it I can see us being in a similar position or even worse next year. Still, must avoid relegation at the moment that has to be the only priority.

Worse than 0ppg doesn't matter.
You're going down conceding 3 a game or 12.

On footballing terms, yes but conceding 12 a game might be a different level of embarrassing. Though I suppose the ironic entertainment factor may increase?

Snowflake Royal If / when he goes, we'll find whether his last 8 games have caused irreparable damage or not.
I think recent games suggest not. There's no confidence and we concede a lot, but we're creating chances. Joao has scored a couple, Meite looks good.
New voice, better organisation a spawny result and it could easily all flood back.

Stranded Gone lunchtime and still no announcement.
Know the club love to announce late in the day but given the strength of rumour regarding his departure, am surprised there still is no noise. Means they are either trying to sort out financials with him/ tying down the replacement structure / not happening today or ever*
*delete as appropriate.

Luxury players are typically described as "gifted footballers" that don't tend to work as hard defensively. Obviously, most of them are seen at top clubs, but Swift and Joao are our type of luxury players in our squad at the moment.
