How are they luxury players when they are also our top scorers?

Take out Swifts goals this year and Joao's last, and we've had been lower mid last year/already relegated this

Luxury players are typically described as "gifted footballers" that don't tend to work as hard defensively. Obviously, most of them are seen at top clubs, but Swift and Joao are our type of luxury players in our squad at the moment.

hmm maybe thats your definition :) I'd describe it as a player who wasn't a necessity in the team, maybe adds entertainment and the odd great goal or bit of play. Not someone who the team is relying on to score goals

You'd be right.

Luxury players are ones you can (or can't) afford to have the rest of the team carry because they occasionally do something great.

Whereas at various times Joao and Swift have carried the team.

Ejaria is much closer to a luxury. Flash git, rarely delivers.

In fairness, yes, it's not an exact definition but it's the closest term I could think of to describe them. Again, they aren't players who will cover every blade of grass, that's not their style of play, but they are players with great quality that needs to be brought out.

A troll Twitter account run by a guy pretending to be a journalist and using a picture of an American Football Coach.

It's such an obvious wind-up I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to fall for it.

Name a more passionate manager who's available right now?

Neil Warnock.

Has to be Warnock. He's exactly what we need.

Sorry, I’m in full agreement about Warnock, my point was about Ismael. He is a fraud.

If Kia has anything to do with it you can forget a British manager.

yeah would agree with that tbh, certainly in previous years. Seems to have just become a bog standard workhorse this year which isnt really what i want to see out of him

did a great job with Barnsley tbf. Horrible to watch but they were near unstoppable last year in the league with him in charge

yeah and according to some pauno did a great job last season too and how has that worked out. Every manager can get one off flash in the pan season. We should be steering clear of people like this. we need a manager who has proven themselves to be competent over a number of seasons.

Snowflake Royal If / when he goes, we'll find whether his last 8 games have caused irreparable damage or not.

I think recent games suggest not. There's no confidence and we concede a lot, but we're creating chances. Joao has scored a couple, Meite looks good.

New voice, better organisation a spawny result and it could easily all flood back.

don't think its caused irreparable damage to the ability of the team to play, but there's still a hell of struggle to stay up caused by that ridiculous run of defeats. Basically need to do better than Derby and co for the rest of the season, very much 3 from 4. A lot of pressure there to get results with some tough games to play. Even 3 or 4 points in that period would have made us a lot more comfortable

Yeah, I am expecting a dead cat bounce. With mentality so fragile right now any positive result could see us go on a bit of a recovery run of results.
Getting Meite on the pitch is a massive factor as well. When he came on you saw a mentality change. They knew he would chase down and power through challenges it was a massive uplift. There was belief ,it looked like we had a plan to execute.

Even still at the same time we are hearing very little on this.

You'd expect that journalists may be around the training ground today or the club and not a great deal is coming out from anyone today really. If he at training, is he not? You would expect he isn't but that would tell us something.

I do think it will be announced sooner rather than later, but what's taking so long?
