I have never known the club in such a mess as we are in right now. It’s almost as if we want to be relegated.
Dreading the game tomorrow night.

I'm looking forward to the blatant lying that will be going on tomorrow pre and post game. They'll be a complete denial that anything happened.

Comical effort from the club this week. Really is a clown show.

How's the sitcom today? Any sign of Brian Rix' ghost yet?

Enjoyed reading the Green Programme comments ( can’t always say that ) , but Steve Hezke was a CB , not leading the forward line !
The Jack Mansell team had to be seen to be believed , great attacking football , the principal when we had the ball was pass it forward at pace and move forward to receive it . Goals galore . 8 - 0 in the last home game of the season .
Following season , first game the following season was against Man U . Who sent down the full first team in the 1st round of the Watney Cup , we lost 4 - 3 , scared the life out of them . Then believe it or not Mansell upset nearly all the players and they just would no longer put the effort in on the pitch , and the team that had started the season as favourites for promotion got relegated to Div 4 .
Mansell got sacked .
At the time , through various causes I associated with a number of these players .

Steve Hezke started off as a CB but then converted into a fairly successful CF.

I bought a ticket the moment I saw all that Twitter crap about him going.

Kinda regretting this decision now.

Things can change quickly but I’m not expecting any movement on Paunovic ahead of tomorrow.

Hearing the same as yesterday: that it’s business as usual at the training ground.

Staying strictly 'OFF TOPIC' 8)

...+1 my addled ol' knapper recalls that too - v.early 80s - we tended to sling him up front during matches to cause mayhem and generally it worked. Sometimes so effectively indeed, that he may even have started a couple of games in that role that Aldersh!t game that got a mention above somewhere rings a loud bell - probably during an injury crisis amongst the forwards?

- I also vaguely remember him scaring the the bejabers out of Lincoln City (Dec 81 W 3-2) - who had a good couple of seasons in the old Div 3 around then. Injury crisis ringing a tad louder: attended the away game at 'Sinny Bank' with our dear 'Ronnie F' in goal - so Alan Judge may have been crocked too (?)- we took to the field with walking wounded and 5 CBs in the line up and under almost constant siege from a rampant City - eventually only lost 1-2.

The 'Imps' may even have lead the league at some point in those spells but never quite made it up. Had Glen Cockerill, who used a sort of fore-runner version of that Andy (Andrew) Johnson 'gallop -into-the-oppos-penalty-area-and-fall-over-dramatically' tactic - that used to fool referees every week!

(sidles back though hedge to GF  )

Compare and contrast:

Darren Ferguson will still be manager of Peterborough United next season even if they are playing in League One as co-owners continue to back their man - Posh co-owner Dr Jason Neale made the commitment on social media today (February 13) after more calls from fans to dismiss Ferguson arrived following yesterday’s 1-0 Championship defeat at home to Preston North End.

I've seen us lose there more than enough. It's a shit hole.

Don't think there's a direct train either.
