Stevie G As a measure of the top level thinking/pressure, SJM went on record just several weeks ago suggesting that we stick with Pauno.
He was pissed though.

YorkshireRoyal99 To be fair, it could also be EFL approval that's been holding up this process. It would also explain why we signed the likes of Andy Carroll and Brandon Barker outside of the transfer window. I know we are within our rights to do that, but I'm sure these are deals that were in the pipeline a while before they happened.
The EFL approval might involve both the sacking of Pauno as well as his replacement and what that means in terms of cost and wages. I can't see why it wouldn't be approved, but there probably are reasons for it taking time for it to do so.

Pretty sure it's been covered that FL approval only applies to playing staff.

Zip Replace Pauno with who?
He has had no money to spend. No chance to strengthen in January. He deserves the summer to mould the squad to suit his playing style but will need a good start to next season that’s for sure

Millsy Beginning to wonder if it's Dai just being stubborn. Pauno wants payout, we add pressure by protesting, he digs his heels in like a child. Great.

You don't have to look far to find other evidence to support that.
He's directly intervened on transfers, our captain...
It's really not hard to work out where the problem is.

But he' sallowed to do what he likes - he owns the company, lock stock and barrel. He doesn't have to take notice of anyone.
That's the outcome when company law does not recognise that sports clubs are quite different than any other type of company.
Twas ever like this and will continue to be the case until legislation changes things.

blythspartan If this thread gets to 200 pages do we all have to chip in £10.00 to Brogue’s PayPal account? What do you get on here for reaching 200 pages?
