Good.

I've only just realised this, but while we know Pauno played for A.Madrid, Fortune played for Manure etc, it seems his assistant manager Mitrovic was used to a different level, a relative nobody playing for nothing serbian/other teams most of whom I haven't heard of, and no English experience at all? Obviously I don't know the ins and outs but I wonder if that partnership Chicago and here has not been in Pauno's interest.

Not that it matters now other than it's good to see the lot of them bugger off tbh.

I think Mitrovic will have been a trusted assistant, I don't think Pauno would have brought him across with him to ourselves if he didn't believe so.

I wouldn't play down his coaching ability or impact on the team either overall during Pauno's time here either, I don't think he is someone who stands out as a weak link just because his playing career wasn't as stellar as Pauno's or Fortune's for instance. A lot of coaches talents can be on the other side of the game, just take Maurizio Sarri, Jose Mourinho and Steve Holland for example.

The Royal Forester
NathStPaul Alex Rae joins the club as Ince's assistant.

Just read this announcement, Leigertwood is also in the dugout. First I've seen of that. Has it been announced that he is a coach? I thought he just looked after the welfare of the youngsters and kept an eye on those loaned out.

U18 coach, same role as Hunt is coming in to do for the older age group.

Oh yeah that reminds me, KKKArbota must be fuming to have two black coaches at the helm. :D[/quote

Do you mean Interim coaches at the helm? , I don't know why you keep mentioning the person's colour are you racists?.
I have the greatest respect for Gilksky as a player ( loved the guy), but as yet still not proven as a coach, Paul Ince, sure has greater experience as a player and coach, but also still not proven. Let's grab Parky before it's too late as he is working miracles at Wrexham and has a proven track record as a coach and Reading FC legend.

Reading FC "Rae, 52, will join Paul Ince, Michael Gilkes and Mikele Leigertwood in the Royals dugout tonight for our meeting with Birmingham City at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

The former Dundee and St. Mirren manager is well known to Interim Manager Ince, after they played together in midfield for Wolves from 2002 to 2004."

Alex Rae was another hard battling midfielder as I recall, used to think he was quite scary on the pitch. Don't think I'd like to get on his wrong side

This reminds me the Pardew/Allen combo. It should be good for the short term and instil some discipline and direction - who knows, it may even last longer.

Of course. Just speculating. Perhaps he's all that's good about the partnership and Pauno is the clueless one. Like Parj/Taxi. Who knows.

Couple of rumours around that a former England U21 coach is about to join the "interim" coaching set up.

Feel a bit for Michael Gilkes. The club's social media seemingly made him co-interim manager over the weekend yet he appears to have a very small role in actuality.

If by coach, the head coach was meant - he would be the obvious candidate. Could be a decent defensive coach?

Given we seem to now be employing people who have been overlooked for years, it'll probably be David Platt.

I wonder if it was more of a placeholder in case Ince couldn't get his men in or couldn't get them in, in time.

That and it is good to have someone in the coaching set-up who has been around the first XI (and the academy lads who make it into the first team squad) this season.

Was good to see Lege back out there :)

Yeah I love the fact he is there, don't get me wrong. I just find it a bit odd the clubs social media presented it as a joint managerial appointment when it clearly isn't, might have been an oversight on their part.

Also found it odd that on the big screen it had 'Interim manager Paul Ince'. I might just be being picky but I don't see the need for the 'Interim' to be there.

Heard through the grapevine that Gilkes didn't want to step up from his role but was happy to be on the coaching side for a short period - doesn't want to be the front man.

Sol Campbell being suggested by our favourite, definitely real Bangkok based sports reporter on Twitter but the rumour of a coach coming in was from elsewhere.

This has apparently come from him following Tim Dellor on Twitter. He was in the running for the U21 job before Carsley got it, so that could be the link.

A number of people including Courtney Friday seem to thing it's Stuart Pearce, who is currently a first team coach at West Ham
