They went out of business and had no money. Chelsea have plenty of money and the means to pay their staff. Totally different.

It was a question

The results are the same, hard working people getting short changed by their employer ( in the name of this glorious game). Cause and effect brings those same results.

Chelsea have thrived on the money that supports Putin

Cancel them

It’s tough, but hey, it isn’t war slaughter.

Sorry, misread what you had said.

I get the feeling of hatred towards Abramovich, I welcome sanctions against him and a ban on him profiting personally. I just don't like the thought of a 20 year old kid not picking up their wages, not sure it helps anything in the grand scheme of things. I'd like to think they'll be a work around so that the staff can still be paid at least.

(no worries)
I’m sure their loyal fans could chip-in to sustain the grasscutters wage

The playing squad could go out on loan….oh….most of them already are (just being facetious here, obvs……it’s Chelsea  )

AthleticoSpizz What justification is a “temporary suspension”?

Innocent til proven guilty?

They need to ensure that any money taken from the account will only be used within the terms of the license before they release access.

Yeah, it's just another level of transaction authorisation.

I support an L2 club and when we played their under-21s in the EFL Trophy a couple of years ago they had more than 100 professional players, FORTY of whom were out on loan.

It's a football club, Jim, but not as we know it. Feck them. Going bust might be a welcome purgative for some supporters.

Same is true for any sanction against someone or something rich. It always hits someone low down you could consider innocent.

I'm with stranded, you know the owner is dodgy, you accept the consequences if sanctions for that splash on you.

+1

Was there any indication of this when he brought Chelsea?

Seems like these tests they do (proper and fit person or whatever) isnt stringent enough or they need to do it every few years.

That’s not the fans though is it. That was on display way before the gates were open, so presumably it’s the club

Makes it even worse if that's the case.

I'm pretty sure all the banners are paid for and put up by fans, it's the same everywhere, even at little old us. Don't know if they get special dispensation to pop in early to hang them up?
