My guess is it's more that he doesn't have faith in the Owners.

We'd all - barring the usual suspeKKKts - love the Guv to succeed but wishful thinking aside we need a plan.

We need a football man in charge of football affairs at the club. The current CEO is a patsy and a complete nonentitiy, we need someone with expeience of English football to oversee all football operations next season. Unless that happens I can only see doom.

Yep

Surely it has something to do with Chinese ownership in this division in particular? Ourselves, Birmingham and West Brom have been getting it wrong now for a few years and we are all Chinese owned. The Birmingham CEO spoke out to fans a while back saying the Chinese culture was different to English culture as it's "act then speak". I just wonder what other different cultures exist that make all 3 clubs so poorly run?

We need a CEO with experience of English football. The dream would be someone with experience as CEO of a top English side, like Chelsea. If only there was such a person out there.

Now very concerned.

Interim means interim.

So come on Owners, what have you been cooking up for the last few weeks since Fulham? Come on. Tell us.

We need a huge shake up at the top of the club. New owner and new CEO who will get Brian or Coppell as DoF

Dai has appointed:
Clement
Gomes
Bowen
Paunovic
Ince.

Whatever he has cooking is going to be rancid.

No matter what you think about Bowen, his season was mission accomplished. Finished mid table, pretty much never in danger from after he took over. Never going to make the POs after Gomes' start.

Yes sadly our owners too clueless to take the action that was smacking them in the face and that would have pretty much guaranteed survival.

I must be the only person who is taking this with a large pinch of salt.

Saying you would have been interested weeks after the event as part of your job to get people to react and call in is very, very different to you know, actually taking the job.

Yeah agree with that - I don't think it was a given that he would have taken the job if it was even offered to him.

Good good - the overriding view of the Twitter hordes is naturally that his comments mean it would have been a done deal and the club are even more disfunctional for not making it happen.

I just took it as a bit of a throwaway comment that he was prompted on because JW had said there had been Reading fans texting in. Doubt he/they would've commented on it had that not happened. Would imagine he would say the same thing about Derby, Barnsley, Peterborough, Hull, etc...

Nothing against Ince as a bloke but Warnock would have given us a 90% chance of staying up

As a father looking out for his son's best interests, When offered the job Ince should have said "Before I accept, have you considered Neil Warnock" or someone else.

Irrelevant.

The point is it doesn't look like we even tried.

I think he would have been interested and would have taken it depending on the offer, but I also think you're right why he's saying it now.

We were bloody terrific today I can't believe it.
