Elm Park Kid The result won't be important points-wise, but mentality it's huge. The teams is getting its self-belief back and the fans are actually starting to enjoy games! It's a great way to finish a season.

Not looked at who's playing whom but don't Posh now need to win all 3 as opposed to 2 wins and a draw?

Huge point for us.

I meant that realistically Peterborough and Barnsley aren't getting to 40 points.

Just checked the table, if I'm right it would seem Derby are down

SCIAG I believe Tom McIntyre was created by scientists to stop us getting relegated.

I think this is likely correct. Nobody seems to mention his odd new haircut….

You’re right about the mentality, but I think the extra point is crucial.

Both Peterborough* and Barnsley now need to win all their remaining games as goal difference with Barnsley is now irrelevant

*Peterborough would need to recover a 17 goal deficit if they draw one

[edit] has anyone mentioned that Derby are relegated ?

They've all been relegated for a couple of weeks, just not mathematically official (except for Derby now)

Ironically the game we've lost during our run here is the game I expected us to win!

Also, if we were to have won and Peterborough and Barnsley drew, it would have been one of very few situations that I'd have seen in my lifetime where the team bottom of the table were not officially relegated, but the 2 above them were. Fun little fact (or would-have-been fact).

Has to be up there with the top Mad Stad celebration moments, McIntyre vs Swansea joins the illustrious list of:

Forster vs Wigan
Murty vs QPR
Lita vs Boro
Federici vs Cardiff
Ledge vs Forest
ALF vs Chelsea
Pog vs WBA
Meite vs Wigan

(Bound to have missed some others but these all come to mind)

I think it begins with an L and ends in an OL.

Joao in cracking form again. 4 in 4, double figures in league goals for the season again despite being injured for 5 months.

Huge player. In fact, looking at his overall record since we signed him he's very nearly 1 goal every 2 games (38 in 80)

Amazing atmosphere today. Didn't see any fans in C1871 leaving after the whistle. Apart from the birthday party game don't think I've seen 1871 as busy as that. Really didn't see that result at 1-4.

One of the top 3 or 4 strikers in the Championship.
