NathStPaulYorkshireRoyal99 You don't "need" your assistant manager to have coaching experience, but considering they will potentially lead some coaching sessions, you would want your assistant manager to have some sort of relevant coaching experience, I just wouldn't feel comfortable with an assistant manager who doesn't have the relevant experience in a trusted role.
I don't doubt McAnuff would do that, but I'm not sure he's got the relevant experience that would significantly improve our coaching staff. As mentioned, I wouldn't want to split the Ince/Rae partnership, I'd just tweak Gilkes of Leigertwood personally speaking that may allow one of them to go back into the academy under a better role which may allow us to bring in 1/2 more experienced coaching staff with quality.
Why does he need to lead sessions? There are many coaches at the club who can do this. You point (as per usual) is irrelevant anyway in this instance. Jobi McAnuff has managerial experience and coaching experience.
Because he's part of the coaching team, maybe...
If you actually read what I'd put, my point was does he have significantly more coaching and/or managerial experience than our current staff members that would be an improvement. But again, as said, we don't actually know if this is an area that needs improving, I'd just feel as if our coaching team could do better with another experienced coach in there. McAnuff isn't what I'd class as experienced personally speaking.
