Certainly seems to have got more attention than usual for a red card. Not speaking exclusively about HNA, in general.

Agree with an earlier point that was made about Dan James, he is just a pace merchant. That can get you by in the Championship, you end up getting found out in the Premier League though. On that basis he will have a great season in 2022/23.

NathStPaul Was it a red card? Yes. Not sure the player deserves to be ostracized though, seen far worse.

Not so much for the tackle itself but for doing it given the situation Leeds are in. Ayling's was bad enough on Sunday leaving them an important player down for the rest of the season and then James goes and does the same thing last night. Idiotic from both of them.

As a non-Leeds fan living in Leeds I'm a bit torn on this. On the one hand its good for the city when the team is doing well but on the other its so very, very, very funny when you've heard for the last few years about how Bielsa is the greatest manager in the history of the world and this team would definitely not suffer from second season syndrome.

The board and Bielsa have a lot to answer for. They were left criminally short of depth, injuries killed them. If they had brought in 5 or so players of decent quality last summer then I don't think they'd be in the position they are. The goalkeeper is also a big issue for them, he is really ropey.

Yeah Dan James isn't a PL quality footballer. His pace makes him dangerous but his end product and quality isn't cut out for this level, I thought this from his brief spell at United as well. He will excel in the Championship next year for Leeds, I can't imagine anyone will come in for him if they go down or if they do they are going for his speed and looking to improve his quality.

If Leeds were to go down I'd imagine Phillips and Raphina would obviously leave and then possibly the likes of Harrison, Rodrigo, Meslier (even though I don't rate him), Llorente and possibly Ayling may leave as well.

I'd be interested to know whether it was Bielsa being loyal to his group of players or the board not stumping up money for decent signings. Even after a ropey start to the season and being hit by injuries they didn't do anything in the January transfer window.

This is the point at which Bielsa rips off his mask to reveal SSC (in true Scoobydoo style)

Yeah, I made the SSC comparison at the beginning of the season with a Leeds supporter. At least he had the excuse of his best midfielder having left on a free.

And what a crying shame that will be. I like them being constantly disappointing.

WTF was Rob Holding thinking?

Could easily have been booked twice before the second yellow

Arsenal are always crap when the pressure is on them. Brainless.

Odegaard and Saka (plus maybe Martinelli) deserve to be with far better teams. They carry this lot.

One of the most annoying things about modern footballers is the fact the subs are never dressed and ready at short notice. Arsenal got caught out tonight and its cost them. I noticed Henderson for Liverpool the other day. Hadnt even got his socks on, or shorts. Took him an age to get ready whilst they had an injured player on the pitch waiting to come off.

Yes, I said this the other night. Why the hell haven’t they got their match shirt plus boots and shin pads on, ready to leap into the fray immediately required?

It’s really bizarrely amateur, I just don’t get it.

Yup, cricketers have to pad-up in preparation.
Rugby players have to run-on within seconds of a blood injury.

£ precious

It's so unprofessional. I noticed on several occasions this season when we need to make a quick change players were nowhere near ready. Your screaming to make a quick sub and one occasion when we had an injured player having to play on I think Meite must have taken about 5 minutes to get ready.

Looks like Arsenal may need to win both their remaining games as Spurs have got Burnley and Norwich.
Shirley, even Spurs can’t mess that up can they ?

Perhaps a vote for the most brain dead red card of the last week?

Cresswell
Ayling
James
Holding

These players are paid thousands and thousands a week and yet come out with decisions like that?

Arteta should have hooked Holding the second he got booked, occasion was clearly too raw for him and there’s not many better at the dark arts than Son
