Pretty sure Elliott was getting games until he crocked his ankle and there's no need to rush him back.

there are going to be a number of LFC players who leave and...

realize they were only as good as they were, playing a particular role in a system

Trent would be a good example of this (think he's phenomenal for LFC btw)

Either Ings is a Liverpool fan or he's a shit George Puscas. Those two one on ones were backpasses....literally.

Then he does score a great goal but knew he was offside.

Apart from the goal that Southampton performance in the 1st half was just abysmal.

If Liverpool had their 1st team out this could be one of those 9-0 losses Southampton seem to churn out on a regular basis.

Not just their team that's abysmal, so are their fans. Empty seats and no singing or chanta. It's like a mortuary.

The manager has been under a bit of pressure from fans of late so perhaps being a bit over-cautious..
It's the Curbishley syndrome where a middle of the road team and club believe they should be doing better than they are and have ideas above their station.

The Saints production line of home grown youngsters has dried up a bit of late and the club spends very little on signings..

Regardless of my personal feelings I would like to see Liverpool win to take the battle, in theory , to the last game.
Otherwise, depending upon Burnley and Everton results on Thursday there might not be anything much for teams to play for on the final Sunday.

I'm finding this game hard to watch. It's only gonna end one way. Southampton are utterly hopeless.
Forgot the playoffs on.

How the mighty have fallen eh?
Still, another new manager, another £billion of transfers and 4th spot could be achievable.

You have already tried that approach and it didn't work so not sure what the plan will be now.
Long may the failure continue.
