Stoke at home is my guess.

Where's Binfield Royal when you need him?

You can really see the lopsided nature of the season this year.

We'll have played 7 games by the time the transfer window closes at the end of August.

First 3 games being Blackpool (a), Cardiff (H), Rotherham (a) will give us a really good view of where we will be this year. It's a relatively friendly start.

Run-in looks OK based on what you can guage today, away again final day.

Why are we back post World cup on December 10th when the PL are not back till boxing day?

I remember when we opened at Blackpool in the 3rd tier in about 2001? and we thought what a lovely weekend we can have by the seaside. The weather was shite and I thought I was going to die going on The Big One in the rain. We won though so not all bad

Swansea at home on Boxing Day... I can't see any problems with crowd trouble at all.

Those first 3 games show how important it is to bring in players soon. We can't be going into the first 2 weeks of the season playing our kids. We'll give any rivals a huge head start on us.

windermereROYAL Why are we back post World cup on December 10th when the PL are not back till boxing day?

Because there is more chance of a large number of PL based players being involved in the latter stages - less likely in the Champ. Plus there are 8 more games to fit in.

EFL clubs will still be able to request a postponement if they are missing 3 players - we are likely only to have Yiadom at the WC and will only be missing him if Ghana get to quarter finals or further, which is unlikely.

Like how it wasn't an issue in 2012?

Anyway, can't be bothered with boxing day football so I'll probably give it a miss, much rather get the home fixture on NYD

On the face of it, we have a chance to get some points on the board by the end of August. However, in previous seasons we've been patching together a team with sticky tape until the window closes. I'd love to see earlier business this year so we can make a decent start, but unlike given our situation.
