Snowflake Royal
URZZZZ
Snowflake Royal I think I could list 10 more disappointing signings off the top of my head.

Obviously it’s all subjective, but taking into account future, potential, transfer fee, and actual output, struggling to think of many more that were disappointing. Possibly Vydra who came with so much promise but really struggled here

Plenty worse signings obviously

Let's see.

Evers
Pogrenyak
Vydra
Ilori
Fae
Sarr
Matejovsky

carrico
royston
ray houghton
carl asaba
les ferdinand
keown
fleck

Wycombe Royal I'm genuinely surprised Greg Halford hasn't got a mention.....has he been erased from people's memories?

Think Halford gets a pass because we somehow made a profit on selling him.

He was basically back up to Murty and I don't think came with huge expectations.

Agree, think it was more potential with Halford, rather than expectations.

Cagliari interested. 3.5m Euros for a “loan to buy” deal but reportedly Reading want 4m Euros.

Suspect most of us would be yelling ‘take the money’ but we’ve no idea of how it fits into the bigger picture of the finances. If it’s a ‘loan to buy’ how much do we get up front ? Do they pick up all his wages ? Is it a guaranteed sale in 12 months or an option ?
I think I’d want a clean break, cash up front deal.

He doesn’t fit in our team. He's not in the manager's plans. His wages are substantial. We need to drop spending and up income because of the owner and management's financial incompetence.

We can't shift Moore. It's already been two months since the season ended with at least 1 deal for him falling through.

There is no way we should be doing anything but accepting this.

Unless we know the basis of the deal you can't categorically say we should accept it.
If it was a straight sale, cash up front deal then yes.
If it’s a cash in 12 months, we still pay half his wages then possibly not.... (yet), we know they aren’t the only team interested.

Providing the deal is an obligation to buy, rather than just an option, I personally don't mind, providing Cagliari are also paying at least 75% of his wages just so it trims our wage bill down significantly as well as bringing in some cash for next year as well.

Unless we desperately need the money now for our current financial situation, I'm not overly fussed about upfront payments personally, because we can't spend it at this moment in time anyway. It would be nice to have though of course in case that situation was to change either later this summer/January, but I'm not that bothered about it, we've managed to do pretty well without it.

Wasn't it only an obligation to buy if they get promoted? Which to me is not worth the risk - unless they are paying a very handsome loan fee upfront and pay a big chunk of his wages.

It's not an obligation to buy if they don't go up so we could be in the same position this time next year
We desperately struggle to sell players for money these days.

Isn’t he only contracted for this season? Or is it next as well. The former wouldn’t make sense for an option to buy as he'd be free by then.

Next season too. Really want him sold now because his value will diminish even further in a years time should he still be with us.

At least Cagliari are probably a better bet for promotion than Pisa, more established team and freshly relegated from Serie A

Ugghhhh

Would still take prospect of money later and out the door now over having him hang around the squad for a season doing nothing. His value will devolve quicker that way.

Rumoured that his agent is talking with Sampdoria. If he moves to Serie A, we better get a decent fee.

Como are rumoured to be the latest club interested, probably easier to list the Italian clubs that haven`t been linked to him this summer.
