We wore our navy blue away kit in 05/06 as well, IIRC.

This extended lateness is becoming intriguing now. I get that there’s supply issues, but you’d think that they know what the away kit will be and have enough of it to cover the first team. Why not announce it and then sell it to the public when it comes in?

They need to have a decent gap between home and away shirts are releases, and (ideally) time the releases to coincide with an end of month payday, so that hopefully people will buy both at the time they are most flush (if anyone is, these days....)

The home shirt was released on 25th June, with most people getting paid on 29th, so expect the away shirt release around 25th August or early the following week.

The danger of announcing it too early is that people will like it more than the home shirt and then decide to wait for that, rather than buy the home shirt.

I don’t remember this being a thing in recent years, but sounds plausible.

That really is a very good away kit - the blacked out badge is a very nice touch. Naturally won't buy it but good work all round there.

Assuming the rumoured 3rd kit will just be the climate stripes in all their glory.
