But why would the club initials be on the training kit? It doesn't work.

paultheroyal Rooney favourite for the DC United job

Bummed out I never got to see him play when he was playing for dc United. Missed out on Doyle too but I don’t think he did very well here. Pretty happy to see Henry, Beckham, and Kris Boyd

There’s a sentence I bet Kris Boyd didn’t think he’d see. Included in a group with those two

As posted on the Rivals Thread:

I'm sure there were some rumblings from last season that all was not well. But yeah, surprised that it has happened this early into the season.

Odd one that. Got them promoted. Slow start, sure, but they've had Arsenal, City and Liverpool since their opening day win against Villa.

On the Stoke situation, is it just me that found it strange Neil was so keen to jump from Sunderland already?

Yeah, they have had tough start for sure, I guess more going on behind the scenes, maybe he didn't want to strengthen the team and this was the final nail in the coffin.

Would be ideal for both parties, imo.

Although I think they may go for someone with a bit more panache.

Not going to happen, but by Christ, I'd laugh myself stupid if it did.

His tippy tappy shit is more suited to premier league football. I’d stick my neck out and say that I think he’d do alright in the prem

Beyond harsh on Parker after the oppo they've faced so far.

Always thought the same, tbh. Thought we would've made a decent fist of it in the Prem had we won the Play-Off Final.

My initial thought but this isn't anything to do with results.

It's definitely not a results decision having read various articles in The Athletic and Telegraph. Calling out the owner and criticizing the recruitment was only going to end one way. Strange how it ended for Parker who should have known better really given his brother in law (Harry Arter) was a major part of Bournemouth's early success under Howe and had better insight than most.

I get the impression that the Sunderland situation was more about transfer funds and possibly a player being brought in without his agreement.

As to Bournemouth, Parker has been saying for weeks that he needed more players and the feeling this time round was , as opposed to the Howe era in particular, that the owner wasn't going to allow big signings-no Lerma £25 million, Billing £15 million, Ibe £12 million, Solanke £20 million, Ramsdale £12 million, Mepham £8 million etc., etc..

The owner very rarely comments on anything but this time has made it clear that he did not appreciate Parker's comments.

At least we've lost the "plucky little Bournemouth, doing it on a shoestring" rhetoric that had been doing the rounds for far too long
