PATRIQT

PATRIQT Well played, SP. Saw the inevitable coming and got out and paid off early doors with jobs aplenty about to become available.

Maybe a bit of a shame that both the Stoke and Sunderland jobs have gone (assuming he doesn't go for the Sunderland job that is) as that might have been a decent fit for him. There will be more that open up in the Championship, West Brom might be one if their results don't start picking up.

They'll be an opening at Villa in a few weeks.

I can't see Villa being an option for him personally. I think he's a decent manager but I don't think he's done enough at Fulham or Bournemouth to warrant a job like Villa, where the ambition there is that they are a team/club that should be consistently top 10 minimum and then breaking into Europe.

I still think he sits at the level where he will be at a promotion chasing Championship club and then looking to keep them in the PL if he takes them up.

How are Birmingham financially sound? It's weird to see then make high profile(ish) signings.

I don't think they are.

Will be interesting to see if there are more than the usual 0 goals in Preston's game today.

PNE finally score again

Quite happy it’s against Cov though. Happy to see Cov, Hudders and Birmingham pick up as few points as possible, keep that big gap to the bottom 3

Swansea concede another injury time equaliser. Another team who look like they might end down that end of the table

Have to hand it to them, 7 games now without letting one in. If you can keep that up then only need to find the odd goal to have a very good season.

Will be interesting* to see what happens to them when they finally let one in.

Never understood this view. He made mistakes but he also made crucial penalty saves which helped keep us up.

We’ve even had about 5 keepers since him who have been worse, and the jury is still out on 2 more.

I liked Mannone - decent if limited goalie and seemed like a decent guy too.

Bang average is pretty much his definition. Jimmy must be about 12 if he thinks Mannone is even close to one of our worst.

Tbf, being 12 would fit with the rest of his posts too.

Thought you were an oldie Jimmy - never realised you have only been supporting Reading last five years or so.

This. As with Moore, the amount they get paid will always put a negative skew on an average player.
