FA Cup 2nd round at Bootham Crescent in December 2001 I think. Reading lost 2-0 and for the second season in a row they were dumped out of the competition by York City (the previous season they lost 5-3 on aggregate ).

Following the game, Reading were only beaten once more that season (by 3-1 at Brighton).

Hartlepool have already appointed Keith Curle as replacement for Paul Hartley. Rochdale sacked their manager and appointed Jim Bentley only a couple of weeks ago so now 3 of the bottom 4 in Division 4 have changed management. Neil Harris (Gillingham) must be a bit nervous…

listened to a thing on De Zerbi yesterday and it made him sound like a fun manager. Basically said he has quite a strict fast 1 touch passing approach to the game but also is all about just going for it. His Sassuolo team had both a high number of goals scored and goals against because even when they played much better teams they would just try and bomb forward and outscore them

The structure of the season pretty much makes it inevitable. We're seeing a lot if change now as owners panic or feel they can't trust the man in charge to stay so throughout a crazy October.

Then come November, it's nearly half way in the season & you have 4 weeks without a game. What better opportunity reassess and give a new guy a mini pre-season with a transfer window to come as well.

Could be carnage.
