JR Assume that’s because Sky red button not happening in August (don’t know why)

Not all these midweek games would be regular midweek in a normal season due to the World Cup

That would make sense. And choose the first few to not count as less people at home with it being the summer.

Red button starts again in Sept (when we are on Sky anyway V Sunderland)

The deal is for 8 midweek games a season so that's all scheduled midweek games (outside Christmas & Easter) from now

RG30 QPR (A) moved from Saturday 8th October to Friday 7th October, live on Sky.

Reading vs Norwich on Tuesday 4th October is also on TV but not moved.

Are Sky convinced Reading vs QPR is a rivalry?

Not sure why the club only announced the Norwich fixture TV change today given the EFL released the information last week (see my post from last week  )

At least it’s not at the SCL so there’s chance the game might not turn in to the depressing turgid borefest that the home fixture has a tendency to become when televised.

Red button or main channel?

3 in a row is a bit nuts. Happy enough with the away games but will miss the Saturday home games

So that means 50% of our next 10 games have been picked by Sky to be shown live.

Clearly expecting us to be the story up to the break then - either plucky Reading continue their unexpected promotion push or we explode in a hellfire of 4-0 defeats.

Might just be my perception but we seem to have been on TV a fair bit over the last couple of seasons (maybe less so last year with our position but still a fair bit) whereas we usually used to have our traditional double header vs QPR on TV and probably another odd one or two in a season, whereas on more recent seasons we seem to be on TV more and more.

Haven't looked at any statistics that shows any difference though, if anyone has any?

I reckon it must be that the SCL has good facilities for TV and is close to London as well so they don't have to go very far.

Might be something in that I reckon

Have the number of games generally on sky generally increased since the last tv deal

CBA to check but think they did. When we are doing ok we do seem to be on a fair bit though
