Brogue so jug ears has decided his coronation will be on the Saturday in May which is the last game of the EFL football season. hmmm

Would imagine the fixtures get moved to Sunday - aren't they usually on a Sunday anyway for last day of the season?

That or the bank holiday in May gets pushed back a week and they all get moved to BHM.

full list of fixtures on the 6th for the premier league too. But that's cos they haven't announced the TV games that far ahead, and a lot will be subject to change. Guess they will have to move them to Sunday, not sure how that will work with policing and stuff. i'm sure they will sort it somehow

Odd team Blackburn, since mid August, their results have stood at:

L
W (Cup)
L
W
L
W
L
W
L
W
L

Only team in the Championship not to draw too

Coventry in trouble again? Wasps, who I think own the ground where Coventry City play are going into administration soon. City hasn't had smooth ride off the field this season.

Does it just leave them homeless again or do the problems run deeper than that? Not sure if Wasps owe Coventry anything if Coventry rent the ground from Wasps?

Quick look at the Coventry Fans form and they mostly seem to be delighted at Wasps predicament and that they will likely end up either paying rent to a new stadium owner or someone will buy them and the stadium together.

But mostly enjoying Wasps demise.

Listened to a bit of Talksport earlier and (whether it's to the fans' delight or not) Simon Jordan said he was no longer in the running to buy Coventry due to the roadblocks in place with the club, citing the stadium and the complications around that as well as what the current owners may price the club at in addition with the stadium debacle etc.

They've certainly improved from their previous off the field issues, but still not exactly what you'd class as a steady ship by any means.

Don’t think the Ricoh or whatever it’s called these days was ever owned by Coventry. Think it was always owned and operated by various management companies. So Coventry went from their own home at Highfield Road to being nothing but tenants in a standard soulless plastic spakkerdome.

Think the intentions for it be a sort of Wembley of the north but those plans never really happened and it was delivered late and reduced capacity of 40000 though Coventry have never got bear that (Wasps hold the attendance recorded there).

Also the place would seem to be a cursed millstone with first Coventry and now Wasps going into admin.

Odd one. I don't think they have signed bad players, far from it in fact for a newly promoted team. It's just a lot to expect an entire new team to play well together. I think they will sort themselves and stay up, and improve from then. I hope they don't though, would be absolutely hilarious for their entitled, delusional twatty fanbase.

Pepe the Horseman Big drift since I posted this. Looks like it's between him, Corberan and Edwards.

West Brom want Corberan, but fat Ron isn't exactly good at getting his man after the last transfer window.

I still fancy Terry for WBA.

I keep hoping Gourley will pull out his black book and give Paul Clement a call.

More likely made redundant than sacked, they’ve done enough recruitment tolast about 3 seasons so he’s not going to have any work to do for the foreseeable.....

They’ll be re-employing when all those relegation clauses kick in

Do wonder quite what they were expecting

Chuck 24 new players together - will of course take time to gel

The talk of sacking a manager who did a ridiculously good job last season already was insane

Fwiw reckon they’ll scrape out of it eventually

Tough one but certainly Leicester and wolves need to sort themselves out quickly. Think Bournemouths lack of quality will be found out and will be 1. Comical they are above Liverpool atm though.

Southampton are in big trouble I think

So soton, Wolves and Bournemouth. Caveat is I know f all about the prem

I still think Forest will drop. I can see Bournemouth sliding down eventually as well, just going through a bit of a purple patch at the moment, the other place is up for grabs at the moment.

Southampton I think are putting off the stay of execution in the PL at the moment, could it be them this year? Possibly, think it's edging closer each year. You'd like to think Wolves have enough quality to get them out of danger, however, if they can't put the ball in the back of the net, something they have struggled with since their PL return really, then they are bound to struggle. Leicester are the opposite of Wolves in a way, no trouble scoring goals, issues with keeping them out. I always firmly believe that, if you can score goals, you will stay up (ala us from last season, good scoring record for our position compared to our direct rivals), so think Leicester will escape it comfortably.

Others? Leeds? Maybe. Villa? Maybe. Brentford? Unlikely. Everton? Unlikely. Palace? Unlikely. Think they go under the category of, probably not but wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

Editing in here, just realised I've rattled off half of the league there.

Thats the thing with the Prem though; outside the usual suspects for the top 6/7, anyone else can end up in a relegation scrap.

Wasn’t it the 1970s the last time you couldn’t be exactly sure which clubs would be fighting at what end in the top division? Can’t help but feel something for the better of the game has gone missing somewhere.
