Cooper and Lampard I'd imagine would be alright at the moment, the former has just had a new deal and the latter is doing alright at the moment.

Rodgers seems to be buying himself more time and Leicester are improving slightly, so might work his way out of it.

Marsch and Hassenhuttl are in deep water though I think.

Lampard needs points from Everton's next few games. After a steady start they have lost three in a row. Next five games are Palace, Fulham, Leicester, Bournemouth and Wolves, knives will be sharpened if Lampard can't find two or three wins there.

Leeds have got Liverpool, Spurs, City and Newcastle in their next six, so Marsch might be done for.

Wonder if Gerard might rock up at WBA or somewhere else in the Championship in the coming months.

There will be plenty of jobs opening up I'm imagine come the International window. Gerrard might even fancy a trip back over the border to Rangers as all seems to be a bit hairy with van Bronkchorst at the minute as well after they were booed off the other day.

Ironically, the midlands team most people may have thought would have changed their manager first, Birmingham, are the team who are the most settled really.

paultheroyal This will make it very interesting. WBA were waiting for Cooper to go before they sack Bruce and Middlesboro moved to get Wilder out and waiting for Cooper to come in - now that is not happening.

WBA options are limited unless they go old school i.e. Dyche etc.

Boro will probably go for a Terry or a Carrick perhaps.

Just need my Dyche in for the double

Got a nice sum on Ruben Amorim to Aston Villa 66/1 but Unai Emery it would appear is in the driving seat.

Been announced. That is a really good appointment. Very lucky club to get a premium manager.
They were talking about Pochetino, which I still don't get, he really is overrated. Emery is a way better manager.

Surprised he went to Villa really, but it's a good appointment all around really, can't fault Villa's ambition but can't help but feel they will end up in an Everton-like situation in a couple of seasons. Big name signings, throwing money around like it's going out of fashion, high-profile managers, massive wage bills etc for little return and will have financial issues stacking up against them.

Sevilla, Villareal, Aston Villa. What an oddly identical trio.

All this taking the piss out of Emery for slightly mispronouncing 1 word in his 2nd language all feels a bit unpleasant tbh

That is all

Gerrard had a worse win rate this season than GNeville at Sevilla

One got the piss ripped out of him and vowed never to go back into management the other is still considered a promising young manager

Now, now, don’t let facts get in the way of a good story
